@numb
I don't see megapixel cameras as a problem, rather I celebrate technical advancement.
I've long thought the pace of change in the mobile phone industry was fast but now it's bordering on the speed of sound!
My wife's phone is less than 18months old and was not old stock when bought. Sending MMS is one of the main things we like to do as I often work long hours and find it a more personal method of texting.
When I purchase a W800i eventually, I'll probably end up having to update the missus' phone to at least a Z1010 despite the fact that she doesn't need/want MP3 player and all the other gadgets.
When spending NZ$799 on the Z600 I didn't think it could be obselete
so quick. |

Has anyone tried to register on:

In the phone instructions they say: go there and register to get access to exclusive downloads. I went and there is no K750 listed yet on that page so you can't register!..

so there's no registration or support yet for the K750? SE should really get these things set up in advance, especially for the folks who buy their phones as soon as they come out. hello? |

Is it possible to download some k700 games *.jar to the memorystick and play them from there. Or do they need to be on the main memory? |

because of copyright issues games .jar allways have to be in the internal protected gamesfolder. They cannot be played from the memorycard.

Great review!
Just wondered - how do you rip cd's at 40b/sec? this is new to me. Do you mean you can copy music from cd's to the phone? Are you using buring software to do it like Nero?

The cable is the MMC-60

which lets you plug your phone into an amplifier (car sterio or home stereo throught the aux socket using the 2 phono plugs.

I've got a question, somewhere I heard that the High Speed Pro Duo's wont work with the phone... would a Sandisk Memory Stick PRO Duo ULTRA II work with the K750i? Just want some confirmation... Thanks |

I use a bit of freeware software for the PC called freerip. You rip the music to the PC then copy to the phone. you can get it here -> http://www.mgshareware.com/frmmain.shtml and you just set the bitrate to a lower value and the mp3 is then far smaller. A typical track is around 5mb a track at 40 is just over 1mb.

@Phantom
All DUO PROs work with K750. Some have higher and other lower transfer speed. But they are all based on exactly same technology and hence compatible with all DUO PRO devices. You can compare it with IDE HDs to PCs. Some are faster and other slower, but all work with all PCs.
The only limitation you may find if you use an Ultra or HighSpeed is that K750 may not take full advantage of the transfer speed (don't know how fast K750 is in this area). But it will work.

If you get a phone from overseas can you upgrade it with your own countrys firmware to replace the other firmware or can you only download firmware versions from the country you got the phone from? |
