anybody who ordered from clove or recently ordered from clove have their order canceled or put on backorder for either Z1 or smartwatch 2? Some guy on twitter is telling me that's what happened to his clove order, and i'm just curious if that's happening to anyone else.

Sorry to say this and I'm not trolling but it's same old same old from Sony.
GSMArena have confirmed the picture quality is either down to processing or the lens and have said the lens wasn't dirty, the pictures on Flickr and GSMArena show that yet again Sony have got it wrong with processing and the 1020 is going to beat it easily. |

thanks for your post northmonkey.. obviously you no longer have interest in the Z1. Please refrain from posting any more and by all means, buy another device to show your disappointment and unsatisfaction.
Of course, continue to follow the thread and if you ever change your mind, rejoin our Z1 fanclub.

xperia z1 no 60fps video?

My information might not be reliable but it'll get 4k 60fps soon.
This model?
Nope, but a Z3 or Z4 might just do that
Seems like my information and your information is conflicting.
What's your source?
Again, this might not be very reliable, but it's said the Z1 will be able to take 4k@30fps at the same time as burst mode 20mp pictures at 10 pictures per second.
My source is common sense. Today's chipset can't playback a 4K@60fps, not to mention record at this resolution, it's ridicolous. Maybe in 2 years things will change, maybe. |

I haven't read anything about it, so I can only assume it has neither.

and common sense would also dictate that "able to take" =/= playback and 4K@30fps =/= ">4K@60fps considering Z1 can burst mode 30 frames in 1 second at 8mp resolution (i.e., 4K), it's definitely plausible that a future software updates will enable 4K@30fps recording (which is what Away said).
Oh and @northmonkey .. yes.. you HAD interest. You no longer do. The rest of us who are STILL interested would probably prefer you refrain from recurring posts about your disappointment in the camera. It doesn't add to the discussion and litters the thread.

There's something clearly wrong with GSMarenas phone/lens/sensor! You don't have to be a 7 year old to understand that!
What about all the pics on Flick they can't all be wrong? |
