Apart from your fingers touching the glass... isn't it the simple issue of dust gathering on it and 'dirt' from carrying it in the pocket? |

I'd guess you'd rather have easy-to-wipe-off surface dust & stains, rather than deep and easily scratched surface stains(of the inner lens). |

i guess its a matter of taste, i much prefer the glass cover, so all i dont have to worry about MORE holes for dust to get into the ENTIRE phone, after a while static and dust find a way to love one another, regardless of what you do. so one more sealed surface is better than a gaping hole.
TOTALLY AGREE !

I dont know, i like this phone. SE has taken a different road with this product and has rectified a lot of mistakes made in K800.

Yup,so far this phone does it for me.There's absolutely nothing more that i want from this phone, maybe a playnow button, but that's no biggy.I just hope the price will do it for me as well.

It will come down to price. It's an adequate phone, but at 5-600 dollars come October/November, when the n95 will be hovering around there, it will simply be a foolish purchase. It will have to drop into the 3 hundreds to make sense in terms of utility function... |

for sure,SE prices will change in a dynamic way in all phones, not only in K850i,because SE wants to make money with quality models..This means while the quality of it's models will be very good the price will be reasonable! But,SE doesn't care about the existence of N95!Whoever wants can buy N95..And stop this debate between:K850i and N95..They are totally different phones...If you want N95,go buy it...No-one stops you,it's a matter of choice..And if Cyber-shot is just a logo without means quality for some, what can we say about Nokia's Carl-Zeiss optics and The evolution of computers in N95?Come on,those statements make me laugh..At least,SE is smart enough and in most cases achieves better color reproduction in their camera phones without all this hype about Carl-Zeiss,but with very good sensors...Also,the way of operating camera is way more smart and convenience..Not to mention that the functions are more and better...
For me,who i can't afford, for the time being,a good dSLR camera and i always take photos from my K800 and Soon K850 those details are very important..Stop this debate then..It is without base..
And all those fans of N95 should think that K850 isn't a smart-phone..but they compare it with a smart-phone..So,does this means that maybe K850i is more clever than they think?
Maybe yes.....

Mineral glas is what they use in watches too. While not bullet proof, its much more scratch resistant than normal glass or plastic (its sufficent for normal wear and tear). |

Does anyone know how they've been using mineral gas? This week I saw a K700 which was still looking good even though the owner claims he bought it three years ago.
