@ CYPER
9. Yes R1L002 is the latest. Just use EU2.
And 2 more questions:
1. Theoretically you can, but I wouldn't!
2. CDA102338/12 tells the SEUS that the handset is an Orange K750i, so it will download the Orange firmware. CDA102338/38 is the CDA for UK generic K750i handsets, so it will download the unbranded firmware.
3. Yes, as long as you change the CDA!
4. Yes.
@ riffola
Switch the phone off, hold down 'C' and then plug in the cable.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Also as someone who went from EU_3 to EU_2, I am happy to report no more camera sound in silent mode! Also no PlayNow, and a few minor changes here and there, but on the whole I am happy with the upgrade. Thank you DVT!

I think the firmware is better off without PlayNow™
I prefer setting my own bookmark as the first link rather than PlayNow™ which allows one to hear music before buying & downloading. It doesn't even work as intended for me as I'm in the USA and all it shows are a few free ringtones. |

thx to GsMen I've just flashed mine from :
CDA102338/36 R5A
EMEA_1
to :
CDA102338/38 R6A
EU2
Few questions
1.But why n the topmost part of the software info still says :
R1J002 prgCXC125954_CHINA_CL R1J002 ?
2. Does this mean that if I flashed it again thru SEUS, it'll switch back to the original ?
3. Why still I cant get the multiple char search in phone book ?
Any body can clear this up for me ?

i think it's because it's the chinese version, without multicharacter phonebook search.
thanks to GsMen, i went from R1J002 HONG_KONG with HONG_KONG customization to R1J002 HONG_KONG but with TAIWAN customization. no more shutter sound for me!!
btw, my playnow is gone. turned into a letter with se logo at the bottom right corner. don't use playnow, it's practically useless to me. plus, my network doesn't support it (i think). i rather have that icon than playnow.
thanks GsMen!!

@w00t
The first icon that is now the SE logo with a page can be linked to any site you want. Just to go Internet Settings > Internet Profiles > highlight your selected profile and press More. Go to Advanced and change your homepage to anything you want. I set mine to Esato. |

my phone's CDA is CDA102286/8. when i bought the phone, it had the HONG_KONG firmware with HONG_KONG variant, but now it's flashed to the TAIWAN variant. what cda is that? it's not one of them found on the list. i hope it's not hong kong's because i don't want to lose the taiwan variant if I use SEUS.
btw, what CDA revision?
please help a n00b that knows nothing about flashing out!! thanks for your patience!!

I can't see EU1 listed on their news page, does it show up on their ftp when you download the fw?
Or is it just:
-K750i_R1L002_EMEA3: EN EL SQ
-K750i_R1L002_EMEA6: EN FR AR FA RU
-K750i_R1L002_EMEA7: EN TR RU
-K750i_R1L002_EU2: EN FR DE ST ZU TR
-K750i_R1L002_EU3: EN DA NL FR DE
-K750i_R1L002_Hongkong: EN ZC
there too?? |

I upgraded my phone using Davinci last night and all went well. After reading some posts today, I am concerned that I haven't done the right settings:
CDA is 102338/36
R5A
K750i
EMEA_1
I am in the UK and had an Orange branded K750i which when I update in future so not wish it to go back to Orange branding. Could anyone tell me if I need to change my settings? Also, will I need to use another Davinci credit or will the last log in recognise my phone? |

@ DVS
That's the CDA for Russian SIM-free handsets, so it's probable that the SEUS would rebrand your handset. You should change the details to:
- CDA Number: CDA102338/38
- CDA Revision: R6A
- Model: K750i
- Language Variant Name: EUROPE_2
Unfortunately, this will cost another credit. Did you flash EU2 incidentally?

Got my davinci account, can I do this configuration:
Flash Files R1L002 Europe_2 and change the CDA to:
CDA: 102337/13 R4A Europe_5?
Or should I flash R1J002 Europe_5 instead?
Or should I only change the CDA with Europe_5 an wait until the R1L Firmware is available at SEUS?
I have a german ePlus branded Phone.

Thanks for that Sebby.
I didn't change any of the settings on the CDA tab (all there already) - my fault as I didn't research it first. Better get it updated again I guess.
