thanks lazn. although the resolution of the z800 is smaller than s700 would you still consider z800? i guess most of us here do. i guess i would have to see them side by side.

Is that a question, compliment, or insult?
...and what exactly IS an "ASIAN" version phone? Are you referring to the miniscule characters on the keypad? |

Are you talking about those almost unnoticable symbols on the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 keys? I never really noticed them untill you 'pointed' them out and il probably forget about them too. It doesnt effect the operation of the phone and it is the only 'customisation' if you can call it that on the phone and could easily be replaced.
Obviously this phone hasnt been released in the UK yet and its been shipped from Hong Kong where its been released. I knew it would be the HK version. It says on the auction it may be shipped from elsewhere and HK was the most obvious.
It has the HK Firmware, but its all in English (as the Official Language of HK is Cantonese and English) and ive disabled pretty much everything in Chinese. Replaced some Applications from the UK Z800 website. The manuals English and as soon as its released in the UK all I have to do is go to a service point and ask them to change the firmware lanuage to the EU one (which I probably wont do).
I will try to do a comparison with the S700i asap.

that's keys with the symbols is the "alpha" for the Chinese Characters.. Which give Chinese Ppl can sms using chinese words rather than English words. not too worry, Most chinese fellow will like this characters... That's special only in Asian Country... European Country only have ABC words only.. depends where you got the phone... hehe. |

@Kev
It took me until last month to even notice them on my Z600. HK firmware was not a prob for me either, I just disabled the Chinese input. |

Hopefully Kevyinus will have a nice s700i vs. z800i comparison for us soon with advantages/disadvantages of one phone over the other. And verdict in his opinion which one is better. |
