Ok folks.... I am amazed with the S710a. Actually I am in love with it.
EDGE technology WOW !!! It is the equivalent of what DSL is in PC's. GPRS is like dial up, compared to EDGE WOW!!! : )
I opted on picking up the S710a based on the great lens and overall specs. Reading news on this unit is so refreshing. No more squinting at small letters on screen. I don't have to scroll as much. The pages pop up one after the other just as it would on high speed internet.
I can not believe the speed. it's ridiculously fast.
Camera - I am playing with the settings and getting familiar with all the settings. I will post my pics once I have played with it a bit.
I can't put it down. This unit has the EDGE technology in place of the radio. I'd rather have speed while browsing, than have a radio on my phone.
I will post more information, onced I have played with all the features.

Now i see why you are so against the K750, you're far too much in love with the S700i.
Time for the S700i to move over though, theres a new king in town and hes called K750.
I do have money to spend, but i'll be spending it more wisely on an up to date 2mp cameraphone, not a S700i which is now nearing its natural end of life.

Talking about speeds. i got an msn friend, who is in Greece. He uses v800 phone and is on a 3G network. He gets around 35 - 40 kb per second download speed. This makes his bandwith to about 250kbps approx. I wish i had 3G over here.

Don't worry, i have got some news about the s700 upgrade. Its in a smaller form factor and at a cheaper price. Its camera definately be 2 megapixel or hopefull even 3. That actually depends when the phone is coming out.

Its just a shame  dont make a 3G S700i or K750 for countries that dont have EDGE.
As much as i love the V800 / Z800 alternative, im very disappointed with the camera.
Thats why i've decided (again) to give 3G a miss and get a K750 come May.

3G is making it's way into the U.S. Not quick enough though.
EDGE beats the heck out of normal GPRS. The difference is significant.

Unfortunately in my country edge is not that popular. Only one operator support it and the coverage is limited in some areas only. On other side, many Nokia phones available with edge already. MMS also not a big hit, not much customer using it. SMS is still a bestseller in here, after voice. |

indeed edge is a very important factor . you can watch high quality streaming video on an edge enabled phone. in india nokia sells 6630 not as a phone but as a small television on which you can watch streaming tv programmes. |

for those who are wondering how to enhance their s700i's headphones, here's my little invention :
notice the rubber protector on the middle, well, it looks ugly, but hey, what's wrong with using DJ headphones on the streets right?
regarding k750 and s700 images, well you know me, even from the start i've placed negative comments regarding my s700i's imaging capability, and i just thought of buying k750 or w800 but after seeing the posts, i see it as a leap from my old s700 but not a big leap, though i like that auto focus and 2 mp cam, but i dont like it's shape though, i don't know if i am goin to buy this fones if it comes out in manila, i'm thinking of sticking to my s700, or wait for se to give it another shot at a better mp cam, i prefer to compare images taken from a mp cam-fones to be compare to a digicam instead of mp cam-fones being compared to another mp cam-fones.. but a two thumbs up nonetheless fro w800 and k750..
