does anyone know how to update the firmware for S700i(if it's available for download)? I mean can I use a Bluetooth/usb adapter or do I need some sort of cable? |

You need an usb cable or a docking station (dss-20 or dss-25). |

You could try...
Why don't you give them a call a ask it?
Better than to go all the way over there...

On page 15 in the manual for s700 is says: " This mobile phone does not support MS PRO DUO or MagicGate..."
How is it then possible that the MS that came along with the s700 was a MagicGate and it works fine?

You can use a MagicGate Duo stick but you cant use the MagicGate function. |

No need to apologize
Like Psycho Dave said, the Magic Gate feature won't be available (Copy protection scheme), but the card will work anyway.
On the other hand, MS DUO PRO won't work at all, i've tried it already.

Well, I tested S700i with a Sony's 256Mb PRO DUO and it didn't work at all. My firmware is R3B.
I'm not saying that you're not telling the truth, but my experience says it doesn't work, and SE S700i white paper says it doesn't work, so...
