the keypad is definitely japanese stype.
tht KDDI phone have one thing more...antenna.
the hinge area looks the same on both phone beside the location of the camera.
This is like a phone tht borrow ID from Japan SE. A bit like S700
Don't mind tht but in fact I am looking forward to see those nice looking japanese design blend into the simple and clean European design.
Well this is what SE have been promising us.... |

Does anybody have any ideas if Ericsson is planning a version of the V800 in a K700 format ??? (i.e. not clamshell)
1.3Mp camera, memory stick, enhanced display .. etc ...
Cheers,
Phil
ps: not so sure I like the design of it at the moment, especially with VODAFONE mashed all over it ??? (there again, I'm sort of getting used to it ..) |

Well, I cannot really believe that this will be a branded only version. Maybe different colors and some small changes in design.. I'm just wondering why isn't there any accessory to plug it to the bottom and converts the stereo output to a normal stereo jack.. Anyway the headset for my K700i was the worst ever.. After 1 month it has broken because the wires were too hard.. The quality of sound was acceptable, but.. The V800 will have the same.. When will be any stereo Bluetooth headset support? |

I prefer this clamshell design as it protects the main screen and the keyboards from dirt and scratching.. He there's exchangeable covers it's okay, but the aluminium finished phones look better.. For the same "dirt" and "scratching" reason I don't like swivel phones like S700. Anyway should improve the quality of the accessories. In design it's really good. The other problem that in Hungary the basic accessories like original stereo headphones arrives really late.. |

I seriously doubt that. In pixels, the V800 has the same size screen as K700.......(176*220).... so I would expect the physical screen size to be smaller than S700 (240*320 pixels)
