Well, at least he took the time to write a detailed account of all three phones to show why the K700 and S65 are 'very bad phones' to make a very worthwhile first post

You guys are funny.
Anyway, here's why 6230 is fundamentally better:
Reason is that the keypad is way better than hard-to-press k700i. Also, the speed of messaging and UI is faster (feel like instant), compare to K700i.
This, and other pro vs K700i:
a)battery life better
b)xpress on cover
c)1000 names x multiple field (K700i only accept 510 field, not name)
d)150 sms
e)RF strength
f)MMC

And now advantages k700 over 6230:
larger and better screen
better build quality
more advanced UI, with Themes
better sound
java 3d
rf IS NOT WORSE, that is a (big) joke
better photo/video camera
enough???

The advantages that you stated mostly is fun factor. If you buy phone for fun factors, fine. However, if you want a good phone, well, 6230 is the way to go. |

@gogo
Indeed, the 6230 is much better than the S65 and the K700. I can assure you that after finally realising this, thanks to your post, both K700 and S65 users now realise this and will all switch over to the Nokia. To the bin with those toy phones!

Please don't based it on 1 pro alone. You have to look at the full picture. I know you're intelligent person who can different that.
By the way, I'm not Nokia fanboy. I plan to buy Siemens SX1. What does that tell you?
And I hope you're not Sony Ericsson fanboy too |

Dang! Maybe I shouldn't say that I want to buy Siemens SX1. I know its bad taste. But that's the only cheaper symbian phone with MP3/radio in stereo . And by the way, I'm not ambidextrous (new word I learn today).
By the way Arez, your website picture is very nice.

Look, i am sorry for the bad taste joke. Taste is so very subjective itīs hard to discuss really.
BUT i do think that spending money on a device, on the edge of becoming obsolete, and with a history of FW bugs and quirks AND the keypad from hell to top it all off, you might want to rethink saving a little more/longer and get a better phone, or better phone and separate mp3 player/radio (really the best solution IMO)
Cheers!

No problem. No hard feeling at all. Yeah, I was thinking about those problem as well. And its really obsolete with Symbian 6 Version 1.2. Keypad is really bad.
I think I'll take your advice and stay away from this phone. Thanks.
The reason I think of it is because someone want to sell to me at USD236 for a used phone. I thought it is a good buy for playing with it. Somemore it is in a very new condition.
Anyway, I think I'll not buying it after all. |

i think it's better to have exchangeable covers than a semi-permanent one. (you can still change it if you really want to, right)
you can clean the screen inside when dust accumulates. |

stop comparing apples and oranges and bananas. everything's got its good and bad side. i say go for the one that suits you. brand loyalty is good but blind loyalty is bad... |
