Cool.. pwede pala wav as ringtone... But why only when assigning to contacts?

@619
Yeah. So far, so good. I like it better than my P900. A few things I miss though are:
Custom message alerts
WAV tones as a regular ringtone
Have the option to turn off the shutter sound

While generally quite fast, it lags at some operations such as deleting the call lists and selecting several pictures.

huh? months ago, tried to download a wav file to the k700 of my mom, dl was successful but wasn't able to play it. hmmm.... btw, why would you want a wave file when you can use mp3, we all know that wave can be converted to mp3 format and the latter's file size is considerably smaller than the former.

anyway, its none of my business.

@wenek
nagpapakabait na nga ako eh. hindi na kong nang-aaway, hindi na rin ako nagsusugal. kahit magpustahan tayo! sana lang talaga umabot bago ako umalis.

But when you receive wav tones from phones like a 6600, I'm lazy to convert them to MP3.

That depends... you can compress WAV files... they don't sound as clear over headphones... but compressed WAV (it's still a WAV, uses the GSM 6.10 codec) sound a LOT louder, and a LOT clearer over the phone ringer speaker. This is because the GSM codec filters out the bass frequencies, and phase shifts the audio to have maximum "throw" out of the little speaker. For ringtones, and alerts... it can give you a much smaller file size than an equivalent MP3, while giving you a more audible sound file.
