When are they gonna start REALLY upgrading phones?
|
|
Probably never... Which company really does that? And for which Hi-tech product which is so popular? Thats been the story so far... for most of things. So there ought to be some logic. Just that we havent figured that out

This is the fastest growing thread I've seen!!!
Myself I not pertically bothered with any new P's
The P900 is already a great phone. The P910 is a P900 in a new case to me (Looks like it's gained a bit of weight as well).
I agree that the p910 is mostly focused on non - owners and because of this, it will do well.

Up to 1 gb... come on man... what do you need more? Entire internet kept in your phones?

I think you might have miscalculated the size of the internet by just a tad!

I laugh in your face HAHAHAHAHA
Some of you guys crack me up, you complain about this new model when it is different in more way from the P900 to the P910 then the P800 to the P900.
I think it pretty good and I dont know if I will buy one or not, DUO PRO is great, screen is great and all that extra RAM is great! oh and lighter!
I am a little disspointed with the camera, in my view you have a good one or not one at all! I would be more then happy to have a thinner phone without camera, or I would like to have a thicker phone with a good camera.
so.......... I dont know if I will jump boats from P800 to P910. Im waiting with something with Wi Fi so hopefully the new XDA will come out and I might get that.
I think what pissed most of you guys off is, The P800 was the best phone ever!!! and the P900 was also(I think) the best phone ever, however the P910 is a better phone, but I dont think its the best phone ever anymore, other phones have a few more features.
anyway, my 3 cents

... And other phones have their misfeatures as well. Thats why SE is still pretty solid with smartphones

It is a good phone, but I shall reserve proper judgement until I have read some more reviews of it. I am particularly interested to know if SE has done anything about the many little problems that users identified in the P800 and the P900.

I've heard that not only do you get the phone but you'll also find a little boy in the box to help you type using the keyboard.
I don't know about you, but I like to show off when I've got a new phone.
Saying that the p910 has the exact same back to the p900 how are we supposed to boast???

I have no guesses!

Why dont they make a Flip you can buy for the P900 that has the Keyboard on it, and also must be a mega-pixel camera, cant be the latest fone and not have it when the other SE phone has it now... |

I would just settle for Pro support and more memory if my P900 can get it. Afterall I bought it just 2 months ago and quite liked it... So do I today.

from what i've just read on my-symbian (http://my-symbian.com/uiq/p910_review.php in case you missed it earlier in the thread) there are some good software improvements too - like user definable folders in the messages app, for example.
to me this seems like a good upgrade - naturally, as has been said, probably more of an upgrade to P800 owners than P900, but that's not to say there aren't some really significant improvements here over both old models (ie, all that lovely storage, and the thumbboard) that really place the Px00 series back in the forefront. Ironically, despite looking just like a P900, this is really the BIGGEST hardware change in the series since the P800. It's just that the changes have been limited to where it really counts, on the inside - they didn't have to fix anything that wasn't broken cosmetically.
What does it really lack? WIFI? I can easily understand why a phone manufacturer wouldn't be rushing that through, despite Nokia, since it can't be a popular concept with the networks. 1.3mp camera? That's the big selling point of the S700, they'd risk undermining their next big product launch. EDGE? Frankly, being in one of the many countries who aren't getting it, I couldn't care less - that technology is dead in the water, from where I'm sitting..

Does it use a USB connection already? Or is the serial connection still disguised as USB? The P900 transfer rate is so slow compared to other devices that uses palm and PPC..
Anyone? thanks
