Here's a neat bug i found quite by accident. First download this ringtone. Its from member JohnN4's site (his wap site is great,i might add) -

http://johnex.se/files/mobiles/imytones/Alarm.imy

for wappers - goto this link and select Alarm -

http://wap.johnex.se/files.php?cmd=imy

Now play it on your K700. The screen flashes. Now press stop exactly when the light is off. This may take some tries. Now you absolutely cannot switch the light back on even through setup !

Only two ways to switch it back on -

1) Switch off and on your phone or
2) Play the tone again and press stop when the light is on.

More of a bug than a trick.

@drdre - It doesnt mute for all games. Only for some. You can press the volume down button to mute the volume once the game starts or choose to turn the sound off in the game's options menu.

@hungry - text labels just show all the labels used in the phone (eg - menu, messaging, picture message etc etc ) Selecting the text label wont do anything. It will bounce you back to the service menu.

Welcome To Esato both of you

thanks kllr_dude,
now my numbers been ported im finally using my k700 full time. one thing ive noticed is, it powers down and i have to press the * key to activate it again (or at least get the light on) how do i set it to behave like my t610 and automaticly lock the keys after a short time, as well as letting me still lock it (with the backwards * lock function) and also turning the screen on with a press of the joystick or something?

hope that makes sense.

@hungrystu - That's not power down, its power save feature. it switches off the backlight to reduce power consumption by LCD backlight.

For automatic keylock - Goto settings -> General Tab(default) -> Locks -> Automatic Keylock -> On

Unfortunately you cant use the joystick to activate the screen I hate this cause i use mostly only the joystick ) If you set the light setting to 'On' you can use it but then your battery wouldnt last long.

Which firmware are u using ?

To check firmware - > * < < * < *

Anyone has the firmware R2AA003 on K700i
and know how to turn off the shutter sound?

I've tried switching to meeting mode, slient mode,
turning off all the sounds.. But the shutter sounds still stays...

Anyone got a solution?

nope... R2AA003 seems to have disabled the muting of the shutter sound. Maybe it's because some countries have required that camera phones have shutter sounds that cannot be turned off...
