@naturalborn - Were those songs the ones which they made fun of the aspiring presidential candidates? I've already heard a number, one of which was to the tune of ABBA's - Fernando, sung/dedicated for FPJ, lyrics says that he shouldn't run, but instead, make movies for the Filipino people. Also lamenting that Angara et al are just using him for their own political future agendas if he wins !

The incident in Taiwan this week (presidential race assasination plot) may bring about a major turnaround in it's political present condition. Many were saying that it was an orchestrated attempt so that President Chen can gather a lot of votes in his favor, he knows that he might be beaten by a huge margin if he does not make any 'suicidal (in effect) move'. The results shows that he only won about a fraction of the total votes casted , very slim margin indeed. Now, almost half a million of Taiwan's population is making major rallies clamoring for a 'recounting' of the casted ballots.
This incident might also happen here in Manila this coming May 2004 election, specially if Eddie Gil, Lacson and Villanueva were declared winners !
What's your take on this report !

Roughly 45 days to go before the very BIG day ! Looks like we are only hearing a few assassinations - rivalry, in the news since the start of the campaign period . .

@jowi - Should be mate ! I am campaigning very hard for one of the Presidentiables (then), but our clamor still goes on till now. Not until the Supreme Court finally makes it 'final and executory' decision. I am for Eddie Gil !

Almost a month to go from now, and we are into the polls - to tabulate our votes! The fight I guess will just be between FPJ and GMA !

If the fight is just between Poe and Arroyo, then I'd rather vote for Arroyo - but it's not.

As of this time, we still have 3 other contenders: Roco, Lacson, and Villanueva. It is unfair to say that they're no longer part of the competition. In fact, if these 3 suddenly decides to quit the race, the ballgame would turn out differently.

Hmm ... if these 3 decides to throw their towels, I think it would be a definite win for Gloria. With these 3 still in the race, Gloria can perhaps manage to squeak in a marginal win. What's for sure is that whoever wins the elections would have a hard time convincing the runner-up that they got the seat. Think something like Taiwan.
Surf's up!

@la_peruque - Nice thoughts ! But I guess in an over-all present political voting perspective, it will just a fight between - GMA and FPJ. Roco will sure be in the 3rd seat . . . . I may not totally like him, but De Castro is a sure win for the VP race ! Legarda is just too ambitious with her 'abrupt' goals in her political life ! Better remain as a tv broadcaster all her life, so goes with De Castro !

Roco backs out of the presidential campaign (INQ7.net article.)

In the latest pulse asia survey released last Monday, Roco is ranked third after FPJ. He said that he's not giving up his candidacy.

I think this favors GMA, more than any other candidate right now.

Presidential aspirant Raul S. Roco is just going to the US to have his 'back' checked by the specialists there. His agony of feeling the pain during his campaign sorties cannot be tolerated anymore as he laments. He might be back after the May 10 polls. Also, there are rumors of his plans of join forces with another presidential aspirant - Bro. Eddie Villanueva . . .
