The cycling i suppose is differant. But anyone will tell you - GPS is only a navigational aid, the only way to do it is via a 1:50000 OSI, pacing and a bearing off good the old Silva!

i keep on doing that. Signing in and then posting in no reply. I just came home for two weeks from england and i went into the o2 experience shop on grafton street. they not only have the t610(maybe a bit late) but they also have the p900 in the shop on display. Its quite amazing. o2 must now support them.

Hi All... It's been a while but I'm back. Thought the thread kinda trailed off. Anyway just read up on all the post's and the site that Deffgoat ( http://www.mobilefly.com ) mentioned is based in Singapore and they accept Paypal. Which is great as I feel it's safer to buy from Paypal sellers and buy a load of stuff from eBay. In most cases if the item arrives in standard parcel form you will escape the duty. DO NOT GET IT SENT WITH Fedex/UPS they immediately calculate if you owe tax from the price quoted and send you a bill saying they have paid the duty! Can they do this, it's not their responsibility?

As for all the newer SE phones K700, S700 etc We don't even have the T630 yet! I can't see them arriving in Ireland till Feb/Mar 2005. I mean the P900 only arrived in the last month. And was released about 8 months ago everywhere else! It was available in the UK for ages. Do they not release that the Irish are among the highest penetrated (he he) Mobile phone user's in the world

There are 2 approved SE service centres in the Dublin Area. Sigma communications in Finglas (Arould the corner from Lidl or Aldi can't remember which one) and MPRC in Sandyford opposite to Woodies and Compustore. MPRC screwed up my T68i when I had the firmware updated to R8A and now all my Bluetooth functions won't work. SE customer support suggested I send it to Celistica in Shropshire England. After reading Neils post, I'm having 2nd thoughts about it now... Precious T68i... My precious... I've been using my SL55 in the meantime

Anyone see the new NOkia 5140... Very outdoorsie kinda mobile and comes with a digital compass and travel guide stuff. Even has a GPS add on in the form of the Express-shell. Beleive it or not this is the only NOkia I would buy and only because of the GPS add-on ( need to give the taxi driver directions from the pub when I'm incoherent )

Keep the thread going.... later...

Lads i've a wee suggestion. Take a wee trip to "britain/norn iron/Ulster/occupied six counties/north eastern hell hole the rest of the world wishes would drift into the atlantic and sink ;-)" & get your latest SE off them sim free, there's a few in border locations. My local branch are quite helpful & well meaning, even if they're not experts.

Deffgoat I just PM'ed you for some details on your T68i

And I may just take up Neils good idea and head to the breakaway 6 for a decent T630 sim free. Can't beleive I never thought of that before! In saying that you can still get the T630 considerably cheaper then high street stores from some ebay sellers.

Anyone any thoughts on switching from Voda to Meteor. Been thinking about it for a while. Bill pay with Voda is around 50-60 yoyos a month for a few measy calls. I reckon I'd get much better VALUE with Meteor. I mean has their Network/coverage/reilability got any better

I have o2 up north (orange coveragemuch better but o2 cheaper!) but meteor in "the free state" as some of my mates wud say! Coverage has got better (1st class in dublin but that doesn take much effort!) still quite poor in places. Noticed major problems along some sections of dublin-cavan (i'm on that road about once a month) & sligo-Galway. Depends where your usin ur mobile really.

May get a Meteor Pay As You Go sim and see how that goes before I decide to port over.

Voda are ripping me off every month! And I've been a customer for about 8 years now.... Time for a divorce I think!

Well its certainly cheap at the weekends on the off peak tarrif - call another network for 13c! If you top up by 20 they give you another sim & bonus credit, most o2 & voda top ups cost you more because of commission! Vodafone are scum, would never get a phone or sim off them!

Before you ask that ask yourself "How many SE's are there in the 32 counties" Your already a member of an exclusive group!

Anyone wanna place bets as to when we will see the T630 offically launched on any of the Irish networks.

Don't hold your breath!
