Psycho : I promised Jeffrey I'll test out the phone a few more days before deciding if I'll send it back. So far, the phone has been up for more that 24hrs without disappearing from the network. The problems I have been experiencing might be due to Maxis although I'm skeptical. So I'll continue to see how.

Wah, now everybody has one already. Am I the only one left?? hehe...
I went to a few shops during lunchtime and there were no stock...this phone is really selling like hot cakes. Oh, one shop do have it but as usuall its RM1800.
kucibubu...what exactly did SE's customer service said about southall's warranty? What's the difference between t-choice and southall in terms of warranty coverage? I've sort've promised a guy to buy a (southall's) unit which will arrive next week (guarenteed no hiss), I guess w24 batch. Re: charging, I think its 4 hours, or until the battery is full.
SE Fans...thanks for the info. But I might go for cable instead, like psycho said. No money lor.
To all T610 owners, how is the screen when used outside on bright sunny day? Some people said they can't see a thing and they have returned the phone because of it. Is it really that bad? Thx

novell:i ask the se customer centre and they said that its okay with southall warranty but they preffered t-choice warranty raher than southall...southall is for t300 and T68...and T610 is under T-choice..thats what they said...thats why i was looking for t-choice warranty today...finally i got it but expensive...!!! |

Actually I think Southall or T-Choice really doesn't matter as both of their handset can be serviced at EricServe. EricServe is the SC for local SE cellphone regardless of Southall or T-Choice. My guess is the person you contact is from T-Choice? If you call Southall, you will get a different story
T-Choice RRP seems to be higher as well, at RM1699 compare to RM1599 Southall set (?) Not so sure... |

MarkNg: I read in another Sg based forums, many people are having the same "dead phone" problem. Full signal, but calls go to voicemail or diverted. One of them suggest the solution of turning off the GPRS, but still not sure whether it is phone related problem or just the network. |

Mark : The link that Novell provided is the forum I meant.
Really hesitate to buy this phone after hearing so many problems. Even 3w23 phone hiss as well, then the ringtone lagging problem, follow by dead phone problem and the list goes on |

Wait wait and wait. Several months ago I thought this T610 is the phone for me, so wait until now...
Nokia 6600's specifications looks great, 6MB RAM built in and support MMC, but don't know will have as much problem as the T610 or not... After this 6610 is out, wait wait wait again for the early adopters' reports? Then if problem exists, wait wait wait for the another phone.
Argh... waiting for a perfect phone is not the solution for this. Guess you and I are the last two person here who haven't get it?

Come on guys... problems happens on majority of newly launched products. It's about getting in to market sooner than competition. Why wait to get all the problems solved when you can issue patches (new sw) after the product release? At least, this is in the mindset of most end-product manufacturers.
A smart move is to hold your urge until the 2nd batch comes out. That way, most problems will have already been addressed, yet, the phone is still not out of trend.

Problem is even with the 3w23 batch, there are still some defective phones. No firmware can fix the problem, only audio recalibration which IMO... a dirty way to get the hissing fixed. |
