Sorry if already posted but the UK release date is now 26th September. Coming to Orange, O2 and Three UK. so far.

Is that for the T or TX?

Also can someone please answer the question of this phone will work on T-mobile USA's 3G/4G? I know it has the supported bands, but is that all thats needed in order to work on their network?

on another note, I wonder if the Sony Xperia UX platform have the same "App Association" as the HTC Sense? I hate it, where it have to use it to a specified app. it's annoying. I like it to set on "Ask".
Like saying when I open a link, I choose between the 4 browser app I had installed. sometimes a different browser. With the updated 4.0 ICS, I don't have that option.

Hopefully Sony Xperia UX don't have that issue.

It's not an issue, its normal Android behavior...

When you select any app as the default app ( like browser for example ), that Ask dialogue won't show again until you remove that default behavior...

Go to Settings>Apps and go to that default app (for example the browser that opens whenever you open a link)... then look for Clear Default button to clear the default behavior...

TX is for the Asian market only.

This is what I don't get it. They both look different so they're not the same. From what I understand, In some market T won't be available and TX will be there. So basically, they miss out on T which is clearly different from TX

The external looks slightly different. That's true. However the internal and software is 100% same as far as I understand it. Sony has also stated (in an Swedish magazine) that the supply of the S4 chip is very low, so they can not make all phones available on all market at present time. That may change in the future (read 2013) if there is any demand by that time.

Some more info about the TX from Chinese review

* TX has anti oil anti fingerprint coating on the body.

* Camera performance is excellent in good light, but night shots without flash aren't great and even with flash not great. Focus is slow in low light and also difficult to achieve.

* Screen is an improvement over Xperia S but still not great, screen is also fingerprint magnet and gets scratched easily.

Benchmarks (possibly final software)

Antutu - 8248
Nenamark 2 - 60.1 fps
Vellamo - 2380

* Overall very good performance, even beating quad core devices in some areas. UI is very good.

No, I already tried that the first time, doesn't do squat. Clearing the default doesn't change it. the "Ask" box never pops up no more, even if I were to say set my android browser as the default, if in "App Association" I set the Dolphin Browser, the DB will open every links, the App Association seems to overwrite that. it's an HTC thing, supposedly something to do with Apple sueing HTC and removing that feature. I dunno the details.

I'm hoping it's a HTC thing, and not have it on Xperia.

anyway, just read that AT&T USA getting the phone, but since I'm T-Mobile USA and was going to buy unlocked anyway, that doesn't really matter. I still hoping someone can clarify if the 1700/2100 mhz radio bands are true and it can use T-Mobile USA 3G/4G network.

T-mobile USA network.

I'm curious to know this as well but seems like it was a mistake on part of Carphonewarehouse.

The display on the Xperia T appears to be significantly better than that of the Xperia S going by those images.

Still, I think I will stick with my Xperia S for now, and see what Sony bring to the table in early 2013.

Actually that's just the views of that site. They did not test it themselves. Those pics are taken by a Sony employee and posted on Chinese forum.
