The silver button on the top, design cues..certainly looks like the X10. This is just a promo pic. The contest never was "guess the phone"

A sample comment from somewhere:
" As others have said. Windows Phone. The Hipster kids
wearing blatantly Blue Green Yellow Red, the tiles on
the mug and the checkers on the wall. Sony's gonna
take a swing at Windows again."
Half the people think it's going to be a WP7 powered device. Lol

OT: For me, this Sony Ericsson ad for walkman phones was the best:

I don't think Sony will meddle with Windows just yet, probably later this year. They need to get
settled first so they'll go with the tried and tested. lets hopet he UI is killer

They tried it once:
... and they cancelled it, no way back including Sony (I hope so)
EDIT: I know where did that information come from (mean Sony Ericsson (Sony) with WP7), it is still about that "mystery phone" appeared on Facebook (Saw lot of funny articles about it), now U can see all the sites and all that "specialists" who can not recognize any SE phone ...

I think SE/Sony are just trying to play their cards right, Android is the safest bet and WP7.5 doesn't allow customizations. I heard one time that MS has granted Nokia some rights to modify the WP7's UI but as we saw from the two Lumias there wasn't any changes.
Sony should try making phones using other form factors as well. clamshell or sliders(vertical/horizontal) are rare breed nowadays. besides the designs had been really boring compared from before even though SE had the most unique design among its class. the revival of dual front would be very welcomed
