So I am pretty upset with my in-call volume and wanted to give the new Samsung Wave a try, I did some test shots with my Sony x10 in May and I just did these shots with Samsung Wave a few days ago.
Sony X10 shot in May 2010
Samsung Wave shot a few days ago in Auto mode, as you can see the contrast level or exposure just cannot compete.
I tried again with EV -0.7, little bit better, but I think if I did EV - 1.5 might get closer to the Sony X10
This last shot was basically taking the internal pre-loaded photo editing program and pressing auto correct Exposure and you get this result
I so need new firmware to fix in call volume and 2.1 upgrade for me to recharge my x10 and use it on a daily basis.
Ok I just did another test today but with the Auto Image stabilizer set to on and I did not mess with the EV settings and left it full auto. It did a much better job of the picture this time

@Bonovox, yeah this is the Samsung Wave for the last picture above. I normally keep the Image Stabilization off as it created crappy pics on my Sony X10 but with the Wave it gave me the opposite effect. It produced a much better usable shot. It was quite clean in terms of PQ which surprised me. |
