All that's missing is some guy coming up with a theory that SE's looking for another 100m in investment because they want to pay off Eldar and shut him up for good.  |

I hate to say this, but quite a few points mentioned by eldar are indeed relevant. The 3 new phones that have been announced are good, but not groundbreaking. What irks me the most is the time lag between the announcement and the actual availability as well as the fact that the handsets are overpriced at inception. In India, the G900 still costs more than the Nokia 5800. And there's no saying which one is the better phone.

Its the same with all companies, except maybe Samsung. The g900 has been out of production for quite some time now. Its not suppose to be in the stores either, but some retailers have faith in it. At least the devices SE announced are different from any goddamn phone out there. |

Good news. Eldar not covering SE any more.According to the lord, he stopped covering Siemens and it vanished in 1 and a half years. He has stopped covering SE and it will probably be bankrupt in 2 years. Anyone need a soothsayer?? I am emailing my resume to Eldar along with my current state and pics. Need to know when am getting bankrupt/married and what the future holds.  |

Lets face the reality.
SE never ground breaking from day 1....day 1 ...first product out is T68s!!!
that is a reskin T68i from Ericsson...then they continue with T300... a squarish version of T68 and there's a lot more phone I can't recall...ya ya T66i become T600....then on end of 2003 they got T100 and 2004 Q1 they only can claim T100 is doing well at HK....and seme like HK only.
it is only then it come out T610 but that is later than Nokia who already got 7250 which better spec....when SE come out with K700...Nokia for 1 megapixel 7610.....only when SE got K750 out the spec is closer to what Nokia able to offer.
Ground breaking for SE is mostly on the design trend...not technology. SE buried the technology leadership when the day they need to sell off all the manufacturing plant except the one at Beijing and change the name from Ericsson to sonyEricsson.
so when Eldar is claiming SE being ground breaking (I think he did before).... its already time when the old Ericsson fan don't feel it.....the more we feel SE is repeating the formula of T610 and T630...he still continue to claim SE is great.
I wonder is Eldar a real name...it could be a name for the editor at MR....and the editor will have their taste on different brand...so it just changed from Siemens to SE to Nokia and whose next? |

Yea. Check out his blog. He wrote a song on how he has seen the company grow and fail(not bribe him) and how as he wont cover SE, it will go down and people wont buy their stuff and blah blah shit. And how the future products are full of BS and he wouldnt want to take time off his busy schedule and cover SE shit.. Oh yea.. 2 years,... HE GIVES SE to go bankrupt.
P.S.- Why on earth has Eldar not reviewed the XPERIA?? Is he that dumb as to not understand winmo? |

He has, but in russian, he has covered everything in it and done seprate articles about new panels coming and after use of the X1 is it a decent media phone. At one point the X1 had its own section on Mobile-review with around 6articles/reviews on the X1, it is no longer there but im sure the reviews are some where on the website |

1. SE definitely hasn't been paying Eldar properly lately.
2. I don't actually like the way SE move the space from "#" to "0" coz i already get used to it!!! and i love it that way anyway, i find that space on "0" is way harder than on "#"
3. I don't understand why he complaints about the move from M2 to MicroSD, i knew that its been a long time since SE fans are complaining to SE coz they kept on using M2 in order to push the sale of the pricey Sony's M2. Isn't moving to MicroSD is a GREAT IDEA??? its cheaper for us anyway.. i don't give a shit with this problem!
4. I know he's been trying to hold back not to say something bad about japanese but hey!!! he already say something bad about it!! otherwise why would you make a fuss over choosing japanese name? SE has been choosing some easy names yet they complaint because they confuse with the order of the names.. oh well, get used to it! easy solution hey..I would've complaint if they've been using Russian names really, i think Russian is much more complicated, just take an example of a name of the great Russian composers: PYOTR ILLYCH TCHAIKOVSKY or DIMITRY KABALEVSKY...--Imagine if Sony ericsson choose this name over AINO or SATIO??
I am of great respect to Russian composer, in fact Tchaikovsky is one of my favourite. I am just taking a comparison. Its not like Sony Ericsson has been choosing a very hard japanese name right? "aino" sounds like "I know" in english doesn't it? (i believe almost everyone in this world know a little bit about english nowadays). You can't possibly confused between satio and yari?? no matter what language is ur first language, i doubt you will find it hard to differentiate between satio and yari.
6. One thing that makes me feel weird is that is it gsmarena that has been blinded or Eldar is just too fuzzy? I remember after the announcement GSMARENA enthusiastically wrote a review about those newly announced sony ericsson phones and they HARDLY MADE ANY COMPLAINTS about it! In fact, it was quite positive to my opinion. It was to my surprise to read Eldar's article (yet i found some of them are true) that the negative points he made was a positive points to gsmarena's point of view. Gsmarena in fact loves the way sony ericsson is moving right now: no more walkman, no more cybershot.. you got everything in one handset, isn't this what sony ericsson fans been waiting for? yet Eldar made a complaint about this... he really has gone too far. DUDE i think financial crisis had been making your temper high hey? now you made me understand why apple fans made your website down when you made a complaint about Iphone about 1-2 years ago. YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR EMOTION!!! what a bias review

If nobody posted about the things that they didn't like, then this place would be a lot quieter without the usual complaining about all things SE.
USEB gets enough recognition here. Most of us thank Miz/ Nightblade/ Clauf etc. for posting scoops and reviews. |
