@skeptix: bka naman ala kpang internet settings ng smart kaya error plg sa connection test. Nkkpgbrowse kb sa default browser ng phone mo?

hello, newbie here!!! i just want to ask how can i install opera minimod on my n82? im using smart ....i tried to follow your step by step guide but i cant get the box that is labeled "Shadow connect" in the network selection. pls. help. thanks.... |

@marvin0413: i believe you don't have the right opera mini installed on your phone. Possibly you have the v4.1. You can install opera mini mod v2.06 via usb cable or bluetooth.

no, i've installed the v2.06 ,theres still no "Shadow connect" in the network selection. just NETWORK MODE, OPERATOR SELECTION and CELL INFO DISPLAY...any suggestions pls? thanks.. |

malamang po yung sinasabi mong "network" ay yung nasa TOOLS>SETTINGS>NETWORK. hindi po iyon. yung pong "network" na nasa menu ng opera-mini v2.06 ang i-coconfigure nyo. Initially kasi yung menu naka hide sakin kaya hindi ko rin alam na may menu pala. Try to press "*" twice para makita mo sa lower left ng screen yung menu.

@FOR ALL: Dun sa mga hindi pa rin maka-connect, check nyo kung anong internet profile gamit nyo. Smart GPRS nlng gmtn nyo kasi by default eh wlang proxy settings ung Smart internet.

hey.. i already followed ur instructions, but i was not able to connect,, hmmm BTW, my c.p. is nokia 5610 e.m.. hmmm..pls help me..ok??
BTW, dis the error i encountered,
ERROR!
there was a problem connecting,,There might be a problem with your network setup, Please go to Tools > Help > Introduction and perform the connection test,(msg:ex=java.io.IOexception:cd=6 resp=0 host=wap.smart.com.ph@server.operamini,com:80).
maybe you can help me with this... |

That error message only shows up if:
1. No signal (especially 3g signal)
2. No load (Should have at least one peso load)
3. Incorrect Internet settings (Wrong Internet profile selected)
For example if you were able to browse then suddenly you lost the connection even if you have load, just restart your phone. I prefer you to use Smart GPRS as the Internet profile. If you are using Smart Internet as the Internet profile, make sure that it has the same proxy settings with Smart GPRS.
