which phones are these with class 1?
and how often do you need to go more than 100m from your phone?
i have 100m radio on my pc and i can get plenty more than 10m range out of my k700i
i think your point is bunk

They may say bluetooth is backward compatible but I a having an Issue.
My Ford Mobile Ease car kit is BT HFP .96 and worked brilliantly with my z600.
I bought a v800 & flashed my 800 to z800 R1AB013 with TMS and now it connects and drops connection over and over.
Still searching for a fix.

Can pair successfully then Connection constantly drops and reconnects. |

Does anyone know whether u can use the bluetooth blues option with a T630 not a t68.
I am trying to sink a T630 with a bluetooth enabled laptop.
So that i can have the outlook appointments on the mobile phone.
Anyone who can point in the right direction i would be very grateful.
Thanx

Which version of windows do you have? If it's xp sp2 go to bluetooth settings in control panel, and add a new device i.e. your phone. Also look under tab 'com ports' what are the com ports used for connection. Download program 'float's mobile agent 2'. It's free, and the most simple i've seen. If you would need further assistance pm me.

Does your laptop have inbuilt Bluetooth....Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are two different things....Im guessing you still need a dongle to be able to connect to/through your k700

I posted this question in another thread, but I have a period of a few weeks and have received no answers.
I was wondering why my Tungsten T3 and k750i had an average xfer speed of 12kbps, no matter what the distance. I swear that at one point I saw an xfer speed of 40kbps after playing around with drivers, but then something happened when I turned my T3 off...and I haven't achieved that xfer rate since.
I would really appreciate it if anybody has any ideas about why this xfer speed seems so low. I've heard of people having 40-50kbps for BT speeds. I love the BT connection for sending small pix back and forth from the phone to palm, and if I can get higher than 12kbps, it'd be great!
FW: R1A044. I don't want to update b/c of fear of the video loss! I like my video!
Thanks,
Ragart

Every BT adapter can be:
Class 1: it can transmit up to 100m (open air)
or
Class 2: it can transmit up to 30m (open air)
So the difference is only the power/working distance
PS: don't confuse Class 1 or 2 with BT ver. 1.1 1.2 or 2.0
theese are different hardware specifications not depending with the Class...
Ciao

Applications running in the background do not make any difference to BT transfer speed or the lack of it, for that matter
