Has anybody upgraded to the rumored R3BHO35? I presume that it is up on SEUS but not for all regions yet.

After umming and ahhhing, i've finally gone and bought this phone. I have been wondering though. How does the warranty cover water damage on this phone. Would water damage actually be something you could get the phone replaced under warranty?

No way, you'd be lucky! The phone is splash resistant, that's all. If you claimed for water damage SONY would just say that you'd immersed it in water (when they don't claim it to be waterproof). |

I would have thought as much, there goes my thoughts of going for a paddle with it.
Interestingly, watching the gadget show yesterday, they were 'testing' rugged laptops (the panasonic toughbook and some motorolla thing) and they are also rated to IP54, They seemed to do well, being buried in sand for 10 mins, and sprayed with a firemens hose. Sadly they just couldn't stand being blasted 20 feet in the air by explosive. Damn!

Bought mine yesterday!
Loving it so far, but i have one question...
How do you activate the Geotagging feature? Does the GPS have to be active first and where do you view the geotagging information?
Cheers

For geotagging enable the gps, in the camera settings at the end of the menu go to add position then turn it on, there will now be a satilite icon at the top of the camera viewfinder when the icon is coloured in it means it has a satilite connection and geotagging is active but sometimes it takes ages to get a connection, so before you want to take geotagged pics under location services go to status info run it and minize it and leave it there until you have finished with the geotagging it. |
