it was working alright (at least for me) since the update, when i restarted my phone, i have noticed the "APN Connected" and will go straight to OFF.. I tried to provisioned several times, but it wouldnt connect.

And this is 100% what happend before each and every P990 firmware upgrade. Some users where still able to use BB - some won't. And the error was always a connect followed by an disconnect within 1 second. And after 1 or 3 weeks there was an updated BB Connect available cleaning up this mess...

i am still thinking if i should do the fw rollback. 3weeks is kind of too long, maybe i will sleep this over and decide in the morning if i will give dvt another 20euro. i just wish the SEKing being discussed on another thread can be used with P1i. i just checked and downloaded the bb client from SE, unfortunately its still the same version, just trying my luck. :)

All in all it IS very simple but still was exciting to try it on my relatively new mobile hehe. But fortunately everything went just fine and paying 20 euros to be able to get the updates a lot faster was worth it as well for me...

Iīm doing the Davinci now.

Should I restore my backup after Davinci is done, or should update directly with SEUS?

Well, updating with SEUS will reset everything again so I'd say first update with SEUS and the restore the backup. Good luck, hope all goes well

@antz88c:

I can't speak for others but in my case it wasn't necessarily about the update but more about making my phone WORLD1 which allows me to get the updates way sooner instead of having to wait for a localized version of the firmware...

Other then that, as said I DO feel like the update made the phone faster... making it worth the effort and bucks

@dag... yes, same here, i also wanted the generic world 1. other than the bb problem, i am happy with the update. have you monitored your battery level, i feel it lasts longer and yes the phone response is faster and smoother.

Hard to tell about battery level so far... Ofcourse after updating I had to backup everything, install apps again, etc (draining life). I also still play quite a bit with it and now fooling around with some GPS tracking software (having sold my N73 I really miss the Nokia Sports Tracker app) and I never let it drown completely.

I'll keep an eye on it though, think I got about 3 days before...

No, I probably donīt n e e d to update, bu I canīt live with the fact not having the latest firmware.

First try updating with SEUS failed, since the phone couldnīt be identified.
Uninstalled and reinstalled 2.7.6.8-1 and it all worked.

Thanks a lot for the support!

I notice from your screen images that the bluetooth version has been updated, does anyone know if the connection issue to Nokia car kits has been fixed now (incomming calls cut after 11 seconds!)

Thanks

@Maratonmannen: Glad to hear it worked out fine Enjoy!

@exokello: Nobody knows, perhaps only the ppl from SE but even of that I'm unsure.

@dpat: Sorry, can't test it since I don't have one...

Thanks dagrim1!

Itīs not only working fine, it also solved a "bug" I had.
When I opened the contacts and wanted to go to the first name with V, I had to first click ALT then the V button. Now it works without having to click ALT.
