Install the update service and run the program, after that follow what the screen tell you |

All things works fine now. Even the autofocus when taking videos and the spacebar works perfectly..

I did my update and having skipped the last ne, I can say the phone moves faster and installs apps VERY fast than the last time. I ahve to see for the rest - I'll edit later.

Damn you SE, damn you to hell for having us put up with sub-standard, blurred up video recording! Why did you have to screw up something that's already such a treat to use? Did you even bother to use your own device to see how much difference autofocus makes in video recording? QVGA quality is not good enough to record distant surroundings in detail, it's good for close proximity objects, so without autofocus, it's a worthless piece of function-I'm pissed because you took away an excellent feature and never corrected that mistake before calling it quits. Irresponsible, diabolical bunch of retards, even RDS doesn't seem to work, it failed scanning for oustation radio signal. I demand another update as your device is STILL not working as advertised! |

Auto focus in video is probably not possible without a range sensor. |

I'm not being unreasonable at all in demanding this. Autofocus was possible before R5A organizer and the quality difference is very obvious especially for close up objects |

One quick question folks.
Is it necessary to be on-line when doing an update on the phone?I have PC at home with no internet,but plenty 'net cafes in rhe city.
Is it possible to download the tool from SEUS and update off-line(@ home).

ok, following my previous post regarding my CDA, obviously i have the Taiwan Generic version... and it still R5 
so, for you guys who are NOT using world generic, and want to update the firmware no matter how, please refer to http://bayanijuan.blogspot.co[....]ebranding-adventure-steps.html for step by step info on how to rebrand your current firmware to World Generic.. the one that this thread is talking about.
i just rebrand my phone yesterday, and AM a happy person now. i don't use chinese character and don't have any clue on why should i have a chinese dictionary in my hp. so, with World Generic 1, everything looks more sane to me then before.
ok, for the R6E, i would say it is WAYYYYY more better than my previous fw. "Not enough memory" screen is something new when i push it to the limit. memory leak? i don't really understand about that, but it seems like if i left it 11mb with nothing run on it, then it still be 11mb tomorrow. with my previous fw? 5 to 6mb... 
now i'm running agile + jmirc without any problem. before this, the application will surely closed.
phonebook and msges open quite fast once it is on the memory.. not like my previous, crawling.
fonts for msges looks more sharp and "cute". 
opera, improve A LOT. i think it is a new version.
alarm? make sure you don't put the volume too high, or you will angry your neighbor.. 
bottom line is : it surf my purpose.
ps : i'm comparing R6E with my previous Taiwan Generic fw. |

you have to be connected to the net for the SEUS to pickup the new fw to install into your phone.
from what i see, SEUS will always connect back to the server to compare the version from your phone with the one on the server. if there is new, it will download from the server.
...i don't know if there is any extra parameters that can be use with SEUS to manually download and upgrade the phone without using internet. |
