The thing with the alarm is true...

I have the godfather theme to wake up, and without changing the volume it almost did sound at all !

But ok , i have no problem att all since i had it at level 2 and i just increased the volume. The adjustment of the alarm volume is one of the things i love , since i didnt have it on k750

Startac->ProMax->Nokia 6210->t68->P900->K750->M600>E71

My M600i does play WMV now, sort of.
First the video plays (pretty choppy). Once the video has finished, the sound starts... So WMV support isn't implemented fully yet.

coud you post the WMV you played?
I can't get to visualize mine, so i wonder which characteristics has the one that works.

I updated last night, and the alarm didn't work for me at all this morning - not silent, just no alarm at all! Luckily I was awake to see it (not) happen.

I set another test alarm a few minutes later and again, nothing. Not good.

I rebooted the phone, set another test alarm, and this time it went off fine - the same volume as usual, to my ear. Everything seems fine since, so maybe it was just a one-off glitch, but I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Other than that, this new firmware seems good so far - the memory management is definitely improved. Having said that, the whole headline figure of 20mb free on startup, while true, seems a bit overstated to me - as soon as you've used it a bit this drops almost immediately to around 16mb, and I've seen it drop lower than that after a few more apps are opened and closed, so it's not perfect yet. Good though.

One improvement I've noticed - in the Picture Gallery, the thumbnails of higher-res photos aren't all pixellated and nasty looking anymore.

yeah i've noticed the same thing about the high resolution pictures... and the alarm volume is most definitely a lot less louder than before.

Dan, I got the incorrect Macromedia version message too (can't remember the exact wording) and I was tearing my hair out for a while - I use Firefox as my default browser, and I was using that to go to the www.macromedia.com site and install the latest flash player, but it wasn't making any difference. In the end I solved it by opening up Internet Explorer, and installing the latest flash player in that (by going to Macromedia.com, and following the instructions there, including allowing IE to install an ActiveX applet from the site). Once all that was done and working in IE, I closed that and SEUS worked for me again.

It was all quite odd though - as far as I knew I was on the latest version already, but perhaps that was only in Firefox rather than IE.

Hi y'all,

I got some problems like some users have with SEUS.
I got a M600i Generic world 1, and I tried all to get the update working but no success (uninstalling, Ccleaner, disabling firewall and antivirus, tried with my second windows), nah, i'm so pissed off
It stucks always at 47%.
But now my phone is not working anymore, just the screen blinking
But as noticed by one of yours, when SEUS downloads files on the net, it goes from 60% to 100%.
What's the matter ?? I got SEUS 2.7.4.8, the last version available on the SE site.

Is Anybody have a solution ????

@darkwave: the 60% to 100% jump is not a big problem. it happened with the older firmwares too.. its just something with the SEUS that SE apparently hasn't managed to fix yet. i tried my update again last night and it did the same thing again. as long as your phone is working properly you shouldn't be too worried about it

do you know what the weird thing is? i have NEVER had a problem with seus. it always worked from the first time. never stuck at any %. didn't ever needed to master reset or format internal disk(which i think is useless).
my phone rarely got any sudden restarts. when i read someone's post "my phone haven't restarted for a week now" i just stare at him: WTF? 3 weeks without restarts is normal for me.
and that "mb free" thing after power up is just crazy. i don't see difference between having 22,8mb or having 18mb free. do you guys really need that 4 mb free memory? do you guys always need to have so much programs open you really need every little mb free?
i don't want to insult anyone, it's just my opinion

I'm puzzled by the fuss about 20mb on startup, because as I said before, mine almost immediately drops down to around 16mb anyway, once I actually use it. Which isn't really any different to the last firmware.

Am I unusual in finding that, or is that normal for everyone else? Right now, my phone's been on for about 6 hours, I've done various things with it but right now all the apps are closed, transitions are still off, and I've got an "amazing" 14.3mb free. To be honest, that's pretty rubbish, isn't it?
