hey there guys,
i've got my n95 for 4 days now. and it has been restarting itself at least 5 times daily. have any of you guys encountered this kind of problem? or is it just mine? btw, i have been using the ptt option quite heavily. other than that, i just use it to make calls as i use my p990 as my main phone. any advice?

Well from most other peoples accounts it should not be doing that at all, do you use a Task Manager as this could be the problem if you never close any programs. So then the phone runs out of available Ram as it is a complex mini computer it does require a little maintenance to get the best results and performance, lastly is the phone branded or Sim Free?

firstly, thank you for your quick reply. was a bit busy these few days. i have an unbranded apac set (plum). like i have mentioned before, i have been using the ptt function quite heavily and sometimes the phone just kept restarting itself. even one time when i was in a middle of a phone call. i don't have any additional programs installed on my phone. only the embedded programs. i also checked for open programs (by pressing the menu button for few seconds) but there was none, only standby. checked again after the restart, and still it restarts itself after few minutes. maybe i have a faulty set. i'll take a visit to the nokia store later this week and see what they have to say about it.

mine has not crashed once, but i hope the call quality improves as there is a slight buzzing noise when i listen to music and make calls! replacement handset was a improvement but there is still a slight buzzing noise. | |
