I'm on AT&T with an upgrade due..... It's for me
It just doesn't appeal to me. I did try it prior to launch as an X AT&T employee. I'll pass................. Rulezzzzz

i currently use an e61 and a treo 750v - I'm extremely satisfied with the 61, but I wouldn't say I "left" SE! If the Euro-iPhone looks interesting... Eh, actually, no, won't get it! "leave" sounds so final?! Might get a SE for xmas, or in '08 or '09...

@REO : can you tell us what did not appeal to you ? I've read the pros and cons in all the reviews, but i'd like to get a user's unbiased opinion...
thanks ! |

I have t68i, p900 and p910. But after P990, I am sure my next phone will not be Sonyericsson. |

every company has a lemon phone. nokia's n80, shocking at launch, lg shine. just a crap phone, not much wrong with it function wise though etc etc...... all of my products have been fantastic, bar the p990, which was obviously not ready for launching when they did. seems its a little better now.
is the p990, 1 phone, enough to make you change? i can understand if you just want to try something different, but to change because of the p990 not right imo.

It is not because of P990i but because of SE's response which is zero. |

well they have not done exactly nothing, though more could have been done im sure.
there are some who are lucky and dont have problems with their p990, then theres the ones who have problems .... im sure have not finished with it,

iPhone for me i've gone right off after having the P990i, having a phone that will sync properly with my macbook will be bliss.

Let's wait for a couple of weeks, and then we will see if iphone is good or not. But dont mean that ill leave sonyericsson. Until the present, Sony is Sony.

With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |

As one of the few north american posters on this board I'll just say that I got to play with the Iphone and it's not worth switching IMO. It's easy to see why people love the phone so much, because when you play around with it, it looks nice. It has interesting menu animations and the whole touch screen concept it fun to use for a while because its new. But as an experienced mobile user like most are on this forum, you notice the short comings almost immediatly. The camera is what you would expect for a 2 mp with no auto focus, and even worse is that you have no options for different picture types or styles. It's also a pain to multi task on, since everything requires 4 or 5 menus to shift through, and since many tasks don't have a back button, if you click on something you don't like you have to go back to the home screen and start all over. You also can't do things like see what applications you have running to figure out why your phone is slowing down.
It's easy to see why this was released in America first. Everyone here thinks its the greatest phone ever because we don't know any better. Most people have no idea what options are in an SE phone because most people have never seen a SE phone. The phone works for those people because they don't really care about the expanded options because they don't know that they exist, but the people on this forum will care and it will cause you to not think of it as highly as someone who has only owned a RAZR their whole life. |
