Well, the phone sold for £46.05! More or less what I was expecting, and again am in profit, not made a huge amount but I am making progress!
So now I'm after the next phone in the experiment, perhaps something like a K750i or a W800i that needs refurbing or something of that ilk

I believe it is actually a k510i, very similar to k310i probably...

It's a K510i, just got one, rather fond of it as well even though it doesn't have as good a spec as my K750i!
I'm hoping for somthing like a W800i - I've had payment for the D500 via Paypal, but it's one of those eCheque things which take ages to clear! So I won't get the money till probably the middle or end of next week

Hey Sammy, nice idea mate Was bored so thought I'd look into a possible next project for you:
W800
New housing
The fault is the camera shutter doesn't seem to work. I'm thinking its the housing thats a problem (maybe not even need a new one, have to have a look to see ) but W800's seem to be going for about ~£90 could be a decent profit

@Sainty
A friend of mine had a K750 which he flashed with W800 firmware, and he also had a problem with his camera shutter. Funny thing was that it seemed to have inverted itself (so the phone thought it was open when it was closed and vice versa). He solved the problem by locking the shutter switch inside to the open position with stearin from a candle, if I remember correctly... His housing was quite battered, though, so it might have been the case. I have no idea, though.
What I'm trying to say is that fixing it (correctly) might be harder than it seems.

It's probably a camera flex ribbon problem, these are fairly cheap to replace, nice find!
I've put it in my watch list, might have a bid for it

I guess upto a max of £60 (and the £7.99 for delivery) is the maxmum. If it is the camera flex ribbon then it'll cost about another £10 by the looks of it. Maybe not so much profit as I thought if it goes for about £60...

Cheers for the heads up Sainty, though the listing says the phone doesn't power up... I tend to avoid non-starters as it often turns out to be software faults (which I don't have the skills to fix sadly).
That eCheque that the buyer of the D500 used to pay for it won't clear till the 30th January according to Paypal! I'm not shipping the phone till that's cleared anyways.
