If nokia is rolling out new phones, we can expect problems, its understandable.
But if SE rarely comes up with a high end phone, why does it have tons of problems? Just look at Esato. Countless people have reported dead K800's. Manufacturing problems(peeling keypad).

i think Nokia N73 is better for u.. coz, handy 3.2 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Optics is ready to shoot with a simple slide of the cover. Capture print quality photos and view them on a 2.4 screen. and the best part is the sharing. With a More intelligent and intuitive photo gallery organizing and sharing your favorite photos is simple and fun.

More intuitive photo gallery. The k800 has a dedicated button at the top by the video calling camera that goes straight to the gallery and its fast at bringing up the thumbnails as well. On the n73 i had to wait a few seconds for all the pictures to load up.
The best way to find out which is the best is to ask people who have owned both. To be honest im yet to find a use for symbian. I dont really have any use for symbian. I carry a blackberry for work use so make use of that.
In the last 6 nonths ive owned a k800 then an n93, n73 and now a k800 again. i think that speaks for itself. And as for better video player your wrong as the n73 cannot play simple mp4 profiles that the k800 can play. Dont forget the k800 also plays wmv format.
Ill tell you what how bout i find a raw mpeg video and we both convert it to respective formats and see which is the better quality. Im 100% sure the nokia will fail but hey its your call.
Older members of this forum will remember the famous "high quality vids" thread which was eventually shut down but for copyright reasons.
That thread had episodes of well know tv shows like smallville, little britain ect and none of them ever worked on any nokia phones.
Nokia basline codecs are far behind as thy cannot cope with high codecs.
And if nokia is so advanced then why have they still not solved the video problem on the n80 which has been out for a long time now. Or even the purple fog which ruins "vivid colour" photos in low ligjht. Night shots, forget about it with the n73.
The only credit i give to the n73 is the bigger screen but to be honets when im enjoying watching high res family guy on the way to work im not to bothered as the k800s screen is good enough..
Overall for multimedia the k800 wins. Dont forget either the dedicated mp4 player button on the side of the phone which play the last track instantly where as you have to go into the menu or nav pad for that on the n73.
Also battery isnt that good on the n73. On the K800 as you use up the battery the phone indicates where the phones battery is headed and once you stop using it the battery raises up again.
Time and time again Asian manufacturers have been head above tails on the European makers.
Samsung, SE, Pantech,LG ect......there all the biggest companies in the inustry where as you look at European companies like Siemens which had to merge with BenQ just to stay alive.
Less that 2 years ago they announced a dip in reaching targets and now that the competition is so stiff i predict the same in the next year with HSDPA rolling out.
Nokia are only ahead in terms of sales because they roll out a bigger range of phones, most of which are middle or low end ones.
Nokias technology is normally behind. They were one of the last to incorporate high 262k screens and even autofocus. Battery life has always been less on Nokias.
Another example, take the music rival phones. N91 v W950.
Whilst Nokia rushed out with the n91 whose memory micro drive is comprised of outdated moving part technology the w950 uses flash memory making it more stable and better quality build wise.
And in future please try coming up with some technical arguments rather than saying "yeah i agree with mr x, SE is crapp Nokia fumb, hissing ect....." LOL
You do nothing but to lower your own creditbility.

Nokia's have far better screen. Where they have surpassed QVGA, SE just incorporated QVGA. Not to mention their rediculously small screen size(2.0'') compared to 2.4'' and 2.6'' of nokia. |

Yes. MY N71 easily beats it in color saturation. Pictures looks very clear and vivid. And please oh please, dont tell me two inches is enough. ITs nearly not enough. Web browsing on 2.4inches is superb and also video playback.
And dont even get me started on the N90 and N80 display. It'll be a decade before SE puts those kind of displays intheir phones. |

@ares- that's QVGA for you. Nokia can do no wrong. I always expect him to go the route of putting Nokia on a pedestal. If you crave a bigger screen there are the m600, w950 and p990.

The fact that you cant just simply admit that Nokia has created a better device is fan boyish enough.
And just wait and see, you wont see any screen from SE thats more than QVGA> |

I myself have a N80 but even that surpasses the K800i with the features after having owned one, with the n73 supposedly better i'm not surprised if the majority favours the N73. |

Feature wise yes the N73 is better but in day-to-day use, the K800 is much better.
I had the N73 and fet as though it was going to break on me, was very slow to load applications and the camera wasnt all that. The keypad is tiny and is hard to use. Very nice screen I will give it that and also it does look nice
I now have the K800 and it feels better, im not afraid to use it, is a tad slow when using some applications but nothing like the N73.
When people are comparing these phones you have to remember that these phones are designed for different people in my opinion.
The Nokia uses symbian which is identified with business people which will use the email and internet function and also applications such as quick word and excel.
The k800 is a dedicated camera phone and even though seems outdated as some people even myself at the lack of progress from the K750, what was wrong with the K750?
It all comes down to what and who will be using each phone. Myself personally dont need all the applications that Nokia offer and all i need is a decent phone with a good camera which is what the K800 offers me.
This whole phenomena is a mystery, wrapped in an enigma, wrapped in a government agenda. (+9, -0) |

@QVGA-hmm, just read your post on the N91 vs W950 thread. By your own admission you pick the W950 for looks, touchscreen and, wait for it, BRILLIANT SCREEN! Exactly what are you saying about SE screens? |
