a couple things to say. . . . . .
I HAVE THIS FONE AND ONLY BOUGHT I FOR 300 dollars!!!!- lol no just kidding, but.
MAN this fone is hot i want one
but every time i get a new fone a better ones comes out DAMN

ive had everything from candy bars (w800) to sliders (d500) and now am getting a swivel (w900i)
but i want this one now

does anyone know if its a semi auto slider like the d500? or manual like the n80.

and another thing i think im a little obsessed with phone. in the past 3 months ive spent almost 1500 in phones ALONE. not including accessories

man. but se should def reinclude the lens and auto focus.
i think se has the capability to include EVRY good feature theyve put separately into different fones. but decide to DRAW out the purchasing span of consumers by keep prices high and including bad features with good ones i.e. poor design-good functionality AHHHH

they all just need to calm down already and make A SUPER FONE. thats what ill do design a super phone and sell it worldwide (INCLUDING USA)with quad band at a reasonable price =) soooo watch out sony ericsson lol.

btw. for the people who have a w900i how is it??
hah i need to change my avatar now

- this is a unorganized post, OH WELL

@dudejustop

Good post! Yes we seem to be all waiting on that one killer handset I doubt it will appear, not this year anyway.

seems hell bent on segmenting their market (cybershot, walkman etc) and I doubt we will see one handset with every feature combined and thats not because it is not able to but because it wants people to have one or the other. (if you know what I mean )

The w900i is very capable and probably the nearest thing to a killer phone have at the moment. I will be getting one in the next few weeks.

@ tervel - I imagine, and hope , that we will se a phone ala w850 with a 3.2 auto focusing camera later in the year. This will be due to the inability of se to release another 3.2 beofre the k800 has hit the shelves...

I imagine the w850 with 3.2 will be the replacment to the w900..it could be...@ goldenface...the Killer Handset we have been awaiting.

love the phone, but why the late camera? i mean, 3.2 is out, W900 has 8X digital zoom, this has 4.
Two steps forward, 1 step back for SE!!

because at the moment the 3.2mp camera is reserved only for the new cyber-shot (k - camera series). if the walkman (w - music series) got the new cameras, then it would only be fair that the cyber-shot series were to get the walkman player and its abilities, which would kind of go against the branding... it won't happen. people who prefer the w series should stop moaning about the walkman phones not having 3.2mp cameras, k series fans do not expect a walkman player to appear in any k series phone so nor should you. when the k (cyber-shot) series moves on to 4mp or higher, the walkman phones will get the 3.2mp camera...

makes sense and is fair.

Is it the black version or white?

How much did you pay for it?

On the W900 I seem to recall you had to hold down the play/pause button. The addition of the Walkman was a bit of an after thought with this phone (originally an ordinary S-type swivel phone) as the position of the Walkman button proves.

Good phone though, even if it is a bit bulky.
