The one guy says his dads "nokia costs R10000, don't you believe me"?
Other guy: "no"
"Phone vodacom and ask them"
"You effing phone them I have work to do"
Damn I laughed....Ahem... guess you had to be there.

@Francois, It's a shame the guy lost his Afrikaans friend, but in my opinion that's no xcuse for hating Afrikaans! Thank God It's Friday. @HOBBS How is your P990 treating you Bro.Are you also complaining about it.Reason for asking,I'm thinking about getting one in 3 months time when I upgrade.

Jmash.ive loved my p990i from day one.ive never experienced half the problems that most of the other p990i users complain about and after the second R6 update my phone is as happy as Larry. Some advice to you though. If your upgrade is in 3 months do some serious homework and look whats around.Theres so much great phones out there at the moment.Have a look at the Nokia E61i(can see Wanga squirming) or wait for the P1 or W960i.Hell throw in the E90 communicator or toddle over to the HTC range of beauties. What im trying to say is keep your options open.At this stage choosing the P990i is going backwards.Technology has moved forward.Choose your upgrade wisely.Lucky you.its going to be a looonng three months for you bro |

Read some Nokia E61i threads and websites Jmash.Take a closer look at that baby.I think its an awesome phone.Played on the E61 and loved it and with the upgraded E61i you get the camera and a radio.Just another option. Most threads ive read about that phone are very positive.Give it a good look at.If i had an upgrade right now, that would be somewhere at the top of my list.Possibly in the top 2. |

It was imminent: Samsung's first GSM 5mp cellphone has appeared. 14.9mm thick, with 3G. Here's the G600:

I think there's still clear elements of Samsung in that handset. The familiar thin slider layout, some of the lower keys, the circular central keypad on the outside a la X830, etc. But it's good to see them step up the game as regards their GSM handset specs. One can probably expect a range of Samsung handsets with these new specs in the months ahead, in clamshell and candybar formats for example.

I can't wait to see a 5mp camera comparison between this phone, the N95 and the K850, given that Samsung has partnered with Pentax as far as the camera is concerned. |

Yeah, I look forward to checking out that comparison too. Wonder how similar the outcome would be, compared to the K800i, N73 and D900 camera shootout last year.

@ Hobbster: Yup, Expansys (often spelt Expensive) are expecting them around then. They do fluctuate their delivery dates quite a bit, so you have to take the dates specified on their site with a pinch of salt. They may change several times a week, depending on their warehouse stock fluctuations in Germany, UK, etc. Also, almost guaranteed, their initial batch of P1i's will be sold out the same day. Then there'll probably be another 2 week wait. So it will carry on until they're more freely available amongst the networks. But I ain't paying anywhere near that amount of money for any phone, even if it could make filter coffee or a project some kinda hologram of the person I'm speaking to. ;-)
