Lucky! I reckon that if I could afford any phone from the SE range right now, it would be the X1.

The Vodafone online store has just been updated with fancy new looks, presumably to be in line with their UK counterparts, and now every single phone comes with the same wallpaper of a bunch of kids doing 'bombs' in the pool.
Anyway, along with the update is the appearance of the black C902 at $899 (Ahahaha rip off), and the T303 in both black and silver (apparently, but the black is the only one shown) at $199, which I'd say is on the very limit of what they can sell it for. Have they even looked at the spec sheet on that thing? I'm surprised it has a calendar! I'd give them $99. Oh yeah and the G502 is now on there, giving the V640i a run for it's money.
Both the C902 and T303 are out of stock, or more likely were never in stock. Also, the P1i has made it's departure.

Vodafone online store has N95 8GB for $1099 down $300. N96 must be arriving soon. It'll be interesting to see how much SE prices the C905... anything over $1099 and it'll struggle to compete with N95 in our market I think.

Yeah I noticed that too. I think they could only just get away with $1200 on the C905, and that would be if they really tried to upsell it for it's 8MP camera, which I really doubt they will. $1000 seems too cheap for a Vodafone NZ new release, especially considering the C902 just came out at $900!
It's kind of weird in a way cause the C905 without the 8MP camera, WiFi and GPS (the latter two I don't think most people will buy it for), is the same as any other SE phone. So if a basic (which is what the C905's is) 8MP camera is about $300, and you gave that to, say a V640i at $300, then add WiFi and GPS at about $100 a pop... That's $800, and I think that would be reasonable. But still, there is no chance.

I remember when the T68 was $900 or $1100 with camera attachment! The first camera phone on Vodafone. Then the 7650 came out at a silly price - in which I bought one - $1599!!! Was cool at the time. Not so much now though! haha

Well welcome back dude! Just saw your post about the Bond content on the K800i... Sorry I can't help with that! It's always good to see a few more NZers on here though. We don't get many!

Cheers for the warm welcome back
Yeah, really strange how all my Bond content just locked itself up haha. Other than that, the K800i's by far the best phone I've used, ever. It does everything I need it to do, and does it all very well.
The X1's the only real replacement I can see myself purchasing in the future, provided it meets two things:
1) The OS/menu isn't lethargic/laggy like all the YouTube videos show it as
2) The price to drop. A LOT. Haha.
Will stick around and wait for official reviews once the phone is released. But it is one sexy cellphone!

Yeah definitely mate. Like I said a few posts ago in this thread, the X1 would be the one phone I'd want most if I were getting a new SE. But with the C902, I'm well covered for the next 6 months or more I'd say.
I'm thinking the X1 should be a fairly slick phone in the end. I mean, it's not really too much different OS-wise to any other WM phone, plus it has a better processor and RAM than almost any phone! I mean, if all WM phones were slow and laggy, you could expect the X1 to be, but I think if that was the case, then nobody would buy a WM phone in the first place!

@RevoWution
Welcome back! Check out our revitalised NZers thread. Pretty swish eh?
@M-O
I think all Smartphones lag to some extent, even my iPhone. That's because they are miniture computers with serious OS software and you just can't stop lag in an OS when your hardware has to be small enough to fit in a pocket. It's just the price you pay for better integration of web and applications.
My 8GB iPhone has 7.1GB available because the rest of taken up with OS and managing memory. Even the updates are 238MB in size!
While we're on the subject, perhaps Vodafone should consider making iPhone type plans available for all smartphone/HSDPA equipped phone owners and up the minimum data to 1GB per month. This would increase sales of data hungry phones and services and allow alot more students/IT people/Business people to take advantage of internet on the move.
