Just wondering, what exactly is an ap cellphone? I've noticed only M'sian users on esato mention it

I believe that RM 3.8K to RM 4k is the jacked price! That's an adsurb price to pay so a phone like this. Heck I even think the O2 Exec which initially launched at RM 4388 a seriously overpriced piece of device!
But sigh, it's like that cos the dealers know there's bound to be someone with deep pockets and also the desire to own the latest. Those are the people who's willing to pay at near RM 4k range!
I'd still say the SRP will be RM 2,999.

AP refers to Approved Permit. These are phones not distributed by the authorized distributors for a particular brand, and prices are usually cheaper by a few hundred RM, but warranty is rather limited compared to 'Original' sets.
Hope this helps.

oh, quick question for K800i users. I've heard that the lens cover is either quite firm or quite loose depending on where its made. The one with the loose cover was from China, the firm cover was a cellphone made in singapore. Where are Sony Ericsson cellphones sold in M'sia usally made? And cud any1 tell me if the lens cover feels loose?

After a little arm twisting (actually more like begging), I have been told that the P990 will now be available in Malaysia after 4-Sep-2006.

Saw a K618i dummy on display in one of the HP shops in KLCC.
Not sure of the pricing though.
