"The next round of the arm race begins with the arrival of 8 Mpix CMOS matrixes, where Samsung ends up on top of the heap.
if he is saying that photos from Samsung are better then why he won't show this photos? photo samples from INNOV8? anyone have?
It may sound astonishing, but in fact they benefit from every phone sold, since they are the main manufacturer of such camera modules. This way, the Sony Ericsson C905 employs a Samsung-branded matrix,
and the source of this information was...? fortune-teller Isabella or someone else?
although it’s a pared-down version, however Samsung themselves will be running with more expensive modules for their own solutions."
oh yes, of course C905 owns "pared-down version", it's so obvious. sorry but this sounds like "I didn't saw photos from INNOV8 and I saw photos from C905 but INNOV8 roxx and C905 suxx"
well, I really would like to see photo samples from INNOV8

Eldar has a job and sees prototypes and phones most of us would die to be able to do. He has more experience and knowledge then the pair of you clowns put together and then some. You may not like or agree with his views but at least he basis his reviews on hands on experiences with units, what are you basing yours on pictures and wishful thinking because you love SE?
What's really funny is when SE where still rising and producing great handsets Eldar was a god and always spot on. Now you don't like to face the facts and truth his an idiot, i don't think so. You two are acting like a pair of spoiled kids and your knowledge and experience compared to Eldar's is a joke you are just making yourselves look more and more petty and stupid. Actually the one thing you both are doing really well just grow up.

Well Dogmann ... your user name says it all ... and hence you bark like one...

R u Friggin kidding me ... !!!!! he basis his reviews on hands on experience, hmmmm, more like he basis his reviews on the bias notions of his life. We base are reviews on facts and not utter garbage as the siberian mow-ron does to very great extents. I too have seen the C905 and played with it but I don't go out on a limb to exagerate about it and bash it down.
The INNOV8 has not, I say again NOT even taken a single pic, so how the hell is better then the C905. Thus it supports an LED light, not Xenon flash for dark environments which is a real pitty ... !!!!
The funny thing, I was reading in the preview, he took Samsung too new heights whereas he dropped SE to new lows ... and he only compared his preview of the 3 things ...
1.) Sensor, which he keeps saying is Samsung, which is totally FALSE ... as it is by SONY ...
2.) Samsung has great sound, i.e. the 3d stereo speakers which SE lacks as SE is more mass market and not like samsung a snail in a middle of a pond.
3.) Video rec. in which SE lacks, ...
Apart from this he has not mentioned anything else, as C905 & INNOV8 have basically everything else and as I stated before SE could put in all those too, but then you would pay 700 Euros for it and I don't think a vast majority are going to pay that much, where SE will be for 550 Euros on debut and trimmed down to 500 which is far better.
So please Dogmann get your facts straighthened out first, before you start judging things. And Like I said before, he Eldar must be feeding you right to which your accustomed to him as he plays you the right way, but with people who have common sense, they can tell the difference.

Regardless of all that, you seriously cant base your facts on prototypes. What if in the final retail version C905 is just as good as i8510? It is Eldar's credibility at stake here.

Dogmann,
I don't appreciate being insulted, but I will prove that at least I am a decent human being and won't insult you back, and will instead hope for an apology.
I agree that Eldar was great once upon a time. He must have been a 'god', as you put it, to gain all these disciples who follow his word like it's the gospel. But even Esato's "greatest debater" can not truthfully deny that Eldar has gotten his facts wrong recently. He has time and again judged Sony Ericsson's portfolio on mere prototypes which are not an accurate measure of the final product, and because he has so many supporters, his words spread like wildfire. He is soiling the name of a company for reasons that hold little to no truth. Sure he may be lucky to be able to see these prototypes, and I am envious, but I question whether he should be seeing him if he's going to base his final opinion on an unfinished product.
For example, he continuously states that the C905 has a Samsung camera module, and maybe the prototype he had seen did, but we have had further proof lately that it is indeed a Sony module. Yet he STILL states it is a Samsung. Why would any person do this? I can think of just one reason: That he WANTS to ruin the company. Smape's comments seem to back me up here. He is in the middle of a feud with Sony Ericsson, and I bet it's his rage fueling his comments.
To me, Sony Ericsson are showing signs of improvement, but if people like you keep believing Eldar's misinformed opinions, then the current state of things won't change. People won't buy Sony Ericsson, and therefore Sony Ericsson won't profit and make the improvements.
Call me petty and stupid all you like, and yes I may like Sony Ericsson, which I see nothing wrong with. But if you're one who can't see past Eldar's 'wisdom', maybe it's time for you to take a good hard look at the facts.

PS. Why is he comparing a feature phone to a smart phone?
Because he's an idiot.
Hardly suprising that this comment should attract Dogmann's attention. He compares these all the time.

eldar has a rather strained relationship with SE at the moment hence the harsh reviews. If you look at gsmarena smape and co you will see the majority are making quite afew positive comments. And dont forget how eldar was critised for bieng biased 2 SE awhile back. |

@Soane28
Yeah - true.
He clearly has issues with SEMC...
Anyways - lets not ruin a thread that was making some decent headway, thanks to Micks et all - by discussing Eldar/Voldemort.
I think, its time we got back to the C905...

I was going to mention that the tread was in danger of being compromised.
Back to the matters at hand.
So Sony α, is this phone going to be your next?

Without a Doubt GoldenFace - its just gone half eleven at night here in Tokyo, and the street below me is buzzing!! The evening has just kicked off here in Nihon lol - and it would be the perfect test for the C905.
I plan, once Orange launch the handset - to call the 'retentions' team, and get a Free C905 (I Got the K850i FOC at launch, even when they quoted me £110!!) - then bring it back to Japan with me - what a thrill that will be - having a Handset more capable than any Japanese handset (To an extent, minus the 16.7 Million Colour BRAVIA screen) - here in Japan lol!!!
Hows about you GoldenFace? Is the C905 your next handset??

"Frankly speaking, I didn’t like the twist in ergonomics, missing shutter and these switches. But my experience of having taken a few thousands shots tells me that it is not a big deal. The handset is easy to master, so it looks quite adequate as a replacement for a real (wanted to write “handset” - Mr. Freud?) camera. If you value truly photographic quality of snaps - look no further, this model has no alternatives. In all conscience I have to admit that the Nokia N95 over the past 6 months has become the most popular 5 Mpix equipped device, but the Sony Ericsson K850i is not only on its heels, it also surpasses it in the imaging department (that’s our only focus now)."
Not so spot on,eh?
