as it renders the picture, a line comes down and makes it sharper (higher res)

Are you sure it makes it sharper mate! Cuz on the one i was checking out it was like a light greyish film decending from the top making the image gryeish and blurry!

That moving "line" is the phone who resamples the image so it will be faster to scroll between pictures. I think the phone resamples to a small picture that takes less "cpu-power" so to speak.

Said that now with the new firmware there is no moving line but the phone resamples the whole image once in about a second and then change immediately to the resampled one.

So itīs a solution for speeding up the phone and no "fault". N82 for example does this to and otherwise if you should scroll between full size pictures fast the phones cpu would die i guess.

The cpu would not "die", the phone would just lag and maybe even restart.

My new bike Bajaj Pulsar DTS-I 2008, 150cc.

(Only used ACDSee software to reduce the resolution due to low bandwidth)

Hello,

I have been trying the face detection technology for some time now. It seems that I am never able to get more than 1 face in focus (ie. even if the camera detects 3 faces, it will eventually focus on the closest one). Is the C902 incapable of focusing on more than one face?

I read a post somewhere on the web saying it can only detect one, but I also heard it can do multiple faces (up to 3).

Can someone kindly give me a definitive answer? Thanks in advance.

Yes with the latest R3DA028 i have no lines. It takes a few seconds and then the picture changes slightly immediately without any lines. The picture also looks little more unsharp and so on but as said before, it makes a small thumbnail of the original pic so it will be faster viewing.

Itīs hard to tell any major difference between these 2 latest FW. Itīs still hard to get those amazing pics indoors and this is the weak point of the c902. The indoor pic i posted earlier is taken in quite good light and with steady hands so that one became superb. In good light the cam is awesome.

The face detection is a joke/gimmic, itīs to slow to be useful. On a real digicam itīs 2000 times faster and could be useful in some situations.
