I DID IT! I stood outside a cafe in the city today, did a search and up came a Nokia 6310i. So I sent my Saddam Hussein contact...I looked around and there was this businessman and a friend also in a suit..looking at this brick like it was possessed! So I then sent my classic, Get a sE or your phone will crash!...and he started laughing. Unfortunately I would have loved to have stayed around and played with him more but I had to go back to work |

@jay and whave: you can send anything via bluetooth: contacts, notes, .gifs, ringtones, etc. thats the beauty of bluetooth connectivity. people use contacts because it stays up on the screen and prompts whether to accept or not. in some cases, all you see are names on the screen, all the better. heres some contacts i have ready:
VIRUS INSTALLING........ (normally stops them on their tracks)
follow up with:
VIRUS INSTALLED.......... (the......is crucial)
follow up with:
DELETING ROOT FILES........ (frantic by now)
follow up with:
VIRUS IMBEDDED (uh-oh, notice ....is gone)
then (depending on my mood):
"BUY SONY ERICSSON" to let them off the hook. half the time i let them walk around and let them think something willl happen. any little glitch, i see them going to the service canter and saying " i saw VIRUS INSTALLING, does that mean anything?"

Yeah I know I tried sending some pics/notes through bluetooth in the o2 shop but the guy must have not accepted!!
In the supermarket I sent a contact saying "I Am The One" to some guy just looked around!!
When sending a contact the automatically get them, but then choose if to accept rather than like a pic/note they have to accept first for it to send?
Also if it only the Name\Enail you can write words in a contact? |

Hello everybody ! I am a "damned" brick user, i have a 7650. My friend has a SE t610 and its truely a great phone. SE is great. And nokia is great FOR ME too. You can blame me, if you want. I found this topic and tried it out (bluejacking). Today I BJ one old woman in a bus (she had a nasty 6310i) with contacts like "Matrix is watching you.." and "You'll die in 48 hours". She was f**ing frightened and looked around. The next step today was that I BJ abou 4-5 6310 in a shopping gallery in the city center (I live actually in Dresden). It was a great success for such a pissed off brick user like me wasn't it ? Then I went to SATURN, elctronic/hifi/TV shop and started a proggi "irRemote" and turned off many of big Plasma TVs - shop personell paniced but havn't found me
So, my answer, guys : can you call me a part of yur BJ community or what it supposed to be, even if I am a brick user ?
Pavel, from Dresden
P.S. Sorry for my poor English |

haha, that is one thing i don't hear many SE people talking about! it is a series 60 (read: nokia 7650/3650) program that lets you pic a TV or VCR or amp and then control it through your infrared. i don't know if its out for the p800, but that is the only SE phone it could work on since it is a symbian program. great fun by the way! i trick stores with my 3650 with it all the time! |

@augustborn9917 i know you can send anything via but only contacts do make sense, because even if they don't accept it, they will see the 'name' tag of the contact |

hello all,
i had my first propper bluejacking experience with my t610 today and it was a freaky one! i was on a london underground train and sent my own to a 6310. then i heard the message recieved tone right infront of me!! i put my head down and got off at my stop. i tried it again in liverpool st staion at i found about 5 other devices! but with everyone moving about it was hard to send anything. i must say it looks like this will be alot of fun

@daedos :
hmm this proggie is irRemote and its only shareware but not a 15 days trial version or something like that and you get a full functionallity and can get it here : http://www.psiloc.com/?id=prod&nrp=84
there is a new version, total irRemote : http://www.psiloc.com/?id=prod&nrp=94
so, as i've allready said, great fun... |

I've had a look and it seems only 60 series Nokias and the Symbian OS (eg. P800) are supported. Dang!!!! Shame the supported phones are still bricks. If only they were 20mm thick and weigh <100g, hmm..
Java version for T610 any body? |

I dont think there is a java version of this program cause java hasnt any implementation for a direct hardware support and so i see no way for older products of SE. I mean the old versions like 6210 and 8310 cant do such things too and only new bricks have symbian OS installed. I would buy a P800 but here in Germany this SE brick (ih yeh, it is big, thick, and huge) costs 400Eu with contract and the only better future is a big touch screen and Symbiab 7.0. Surely its a great phone but not everybody has so much bucks to buy it - and 7650 costs only 1Eu ! And dont blame witch expressions like "its better to pay 400Eu for SE than 1 for Nokia " and so, its like with G.Accelerators for computers : ATI is faster at the moment than NVidia - so we buy Ati. Its not a question of brand name, its a question of cost/quality and SE AND Nokia have many different products with different cost/quality. And that schould not be the reason for a war between SE and Nokia users ! You BJ us, we BJ you - everybody is happy and BJ becomes multiculturell - this is the way it schould be, with nokia, se and other phones.
The phone is a phone, if it has BT or not, that's the question... |
