dapat ata OTA, hinde manual. Try this.
send ACTIVATE to 2300 (save to phone the confirmation message)
Go to "The Mall"
Then "Mall Assistant"
Choose "prepaid or postpaid"
Then Choose "Handset Settings"
Pick your handset model.
Then Click MMS.
You will receive the OTA settings of both wap and MMS config.
Save config to phone.
Send your first mms to a Sun number (cost 2pesos) to trigger their system.

guys, ACTIVATE failed with error 16. but since I already have GPRS activated, I went to the Mall...
this is one lousy Mall!!! i've have numerous sendind sms, conntecting, sending sms, connecting ek ek and nasa selection pa lang ako ng postpaid/prepaid
grrr
geez!
now I got the error 16 again!
grabe 'to!
and technically, i don't understand the difference between manual and OTA settings...
GPRS, kung binabasa mo ito, mukhang sablay provisioning sa equipment ng Sun huh?! Ito na ba yung China-made equipment? |

Nak ng tipaklong talaga Sun o.
@arnoldc...thanks for trying though. GPRS is using Sun in his k750i. Let's ask for his settings
@chax...if all things fail on your end, go to the nearest Sun Shop and ask them to configure my phone. don't leave until they configured it succesfully. If they ask, if you have tried "the Mall", tell them that if they can make your phone work through the mall, you'll give your k750i to them. If not, they should give 1 year supply of prepaid unlimited load if you are on prepaid.
Punta ka Galleria Sun Shop. They should be able to help you.

@steele, unless he's using a different bunch of settings, there's nothing more to it. it simply boils down to working or non-working. simply put, they have a crappy system.
if you compare them with smart and globe, these two got their settings right. being a subscriber of both then, smart got theirs right the first time, and never changed it.
but with sun, even if you have the "official" settings from Customer Care or OTA, it simply does not work. I was informed by customer care that they're "upgrading" (which GPRS confirms as china-made equipment) and this could have been causing the screw up. i'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
is yours working? send mo naman ako ng mms |

You're right. My friend from Sun confirmed that they are currently upgrading their system. Probably their "mall" is down because of that. I got a code 16 also trying to access the handset settings config. I have the right settings for my t68i but i keep on getting the "communication error thingy" sending mms to my own number. Wala akong sun number mo e yung smart lang.
