Yes indeed it was brand new too as it was replaced under the insurance. It never happened before on previous Elm's but it had loads of dust under the screen(never would sell Matt the dusty one) I think it was a bad batch one

They have put the Y in the place the Z should go, on the Mini Pro qwerty keypad

Simply excellent. Well spaced, superb feedback.

Newsflash: I'm from Germany. That's the German layout. I guess French mini pros have the AZERTY layout.

Ah that makes sense That would confuse me a lot if I had that one I am so used to where the keys are on my keyboard. Is the battery life good?

I asked about the keyboard cos Rookwise said he had problems with the keyboard being badly built. Maybe an early bad batch

mriley: Got it 2,5 hours ago. Can't quite say something about the battery life so far, but I got 6 days out of my rooted X10 with SetCPU activated, so I guess I can spend WEEKS on the mini pro as soon as I root it.

My phone was built in week 33. We're now in week 36 and I ordered it on Saturday, so that's right out of the factory.

My new silver Elm seems to have improved signal and screen brightness built in a later week. Week 33 last ones before was 26

It feels solid enough, no wobbles, slides smoothly, similar to w705, and it slides better than 6500 slide. I have not had that much experience with slider phones, only those other 2, but I'm satisfied by the way Hazel slides
The only thing I don't like about it is the bad yellowish LED flash, Elm has a better LED flash.
Nice Elm by the way I like that silver colored one
