In answer to your original question I would have to answer in the negative. The Church of England would appear to accept people being gay, the question arose over whether there should be gay clergy. As far as I can tell gay clergy seem to have become accepted by the Church of England on the whole.

but that's now though right?
I mean it was an issue.
I was just trying to make that point that, different people from different views but belonging to the same religion may differ when it comes to their beliefs.
No religion is perfect, but most of them (hopefully) try to help us acheive a better state of life.

Well it was (and is) an issue in so far as Christianity says homosexuality is a sin, just as Islam does I believe. The main issue wasn't so much in condemning homosexuals as it was a debate over whether or not there should be gay clergy. I think the fact that there are gay clergy shows that the Church of England has moved on a great deal.

you see vanquish.
First of all you are the most biggest hypocrit I ~~ no wait I know one other person thats bigger than you.
You complain when Peter supports me, and then you go and make it seem like scots is attacking me.
He's not.
Scots replies are nice, make sense, and he doesn't retort with a reply that makes MY religion seem worse off than his.
He's not even a Christian so I like to believe he's not biased.
Still thought, Clergy are people too right? and at the end of the day, homosexuality was an issue. Whether it is now or not is a different question.
My stance stays the same. Different people from different views understand the SAME religion differently.
note: my mother is a Christian, even though I wish she would become a Muslim, i've never tried to convert her, neither has my father.
It's called respect.

so how comes you became a muslim rather than a christian? was this forced upon you by your father or was it your own decision?

Steady people, let's keep it friendly.
I personally don't care what religion someone believes in as long as they are a nice person.

solid! Dude!
I mentioned this five million frickin' times.
Muslims even though they are born Muslims are given the choice to decide what religion they want. (usually between 13-15)
I chose Islam out of choice not because it was forced upon me.
I wouldn't defend a religion that I didn't like or felt pressured to believe.

Perhaps a better question would be to ask you if you would still make the same choice now? I am preusming you would, but would you make that choice based upon different factors?

the reason I would choose Islam now over Christianity is because it believes in other religions released by God where as Christianity is indefinate and believes that if you are not a true Christian, you will not have a place with God.
Also as I said previously, I dont like the idea of having Jesus as the only son of God and I like the idea of all us being the children of God.
I also like the fact that the Quraan remains unchanged and it's only interpretation that seperates some Muslims. However the Bible has been changed in the past.
of course I have more reasons for sticking to Islam however I'm just mentioned a few points.
But it's clear to me that your question and solids were completely different.
