Will do my best to get some good shots
Sean
Yep, it is ridiculously hot, temps reaching highs of 40degrees in some parts here, although today we've got a nice breeze and it looks like it may rain tonite, air cons having been doing over time, we need some cool fresh air. so true mate, it's also giving me faith in the national Post Office here who had an awful reputation a few years ago.

Hey everyone, I've been out snapping a few pics with the paper, almost done, I haven't had the chance to find a place to get a nice pic of Johannesburg City, makes me wonder how some of these postcards are taken, then again I'm also using a phone, should be done by middle. Of next week then the paper will be on the move again, sorry for keeping it for so long!
Will put some pics up tomorrow night, going to head to Monte Casino and snap a few pics of where I often spend weekend nights.

Let the uploading begin...
Just took this from our front balcony, pic the neighbourhood, Johannesburg has a lot of trees, from what i have heard we are living in the largest man made forest, so you will noitce a lof of trees:
Pics of some of the lovely properties we are surrounded by:

Our local mini shopping centre where we do all our grocery shopping, took the pic this morning, most of the cars in the car park belong to housewives, i swear, i must have been the only guy i the place other than the guys who own some of the restaurants:
An overview of the neighbourhood to the right, just out of frame is the golf course, as you can see, a lot of construction going on:
Didnt get a chance to go into Monte Casino today, but here is a pic of one of the entrances, to the left you'll notice a gold bus, its the Gautrain bus, Gautrain is a lot like the tube in London and subway in New York, at the moment it operates between O.R. Tambo Airport, Sandton (main station), Marlboro,Pretoria and a few other majorly metropolitan areas:
Stuck in traffic in one of our busier roads:
We have a Microsoft office here couldnt find a suitable place to park and take the pic so i just sat on the yield lane and quickly took a pic, lol:
New lovely shopping mall near us:
Ferrari and Maserati dealership, got the pic as a silver Maserati was going into the service area to the right of the shot
Ooops, being a student sucks had to ask my mum to transfer some money so i can fill up
My babies:
More will follow, still need to get that pic of Joburg City.

Great pics there. SA looks very smart and modern. Nice gadgets too but you got Woolworths?? Is that the same Woolworths we used to have here in UK that went into liquidation??

Thanks guys, im going to get a few more shots and then get this paper moving again.
Sean
I think they were the same and then split up, Woolworths here then went from serving the mid end market to the higher end, and they split the clothes and food, so Woolworths Food is a top end grocery shop found in most mid to upper class suburb's mini shopping centers, whilest Woolworths clothing and Woolworths Home are found at mid to upper end shopping malls.
SA is trying, unfortunetly for every modern looking suburb there are informal settlements ridden with poverty, and due to lack of informal jobs there is quite a lot of crime as at the end of the day the vast majority of our population is living in poverty, but our government is sort of, kind of, getting around to working on it....when they finally stop doing $34million upgrades to the presidents personal compound and are done splashing tax payers money on top end German cars and chartering private jets for personal use, i love my country, never a dull day not with our government.
