I already have R2AE033. SE thinks that those living in Asia doesn't need search option I mentioned before. The N70 looks promising to replace my crummy K700i.

Ok, you didnt mention that your problem was related to the region you live in, I therefore assumed you had an older firmware.

Well, sure you can replace your "crummy" K700 with the N70, but if you beleive that N70 or any other nokia phone are perfect and wont have any perculiarities that doesnt live up to your needs, then youre in for a surprise

I tried to translate the important parts (nothing new really).

A good first impression, not any special function that is really outstanding, but several top notch. 2mpx camera with functions/usability reminding of a "real" digi cam. The menus are similar to earlier models, but faster and with a tree that gives a better overview. A new "fast port connector" which, for example, enables you to jack in to your stereo an play the music there. Old accessories will not work with the new port, and no adapter to enable them will be made. He concludes with that he thinks it will be a hit.

I posted this in another thread but it would make more sense for it to be here. When you set a picture to a contact will it show up on the full screen or will it just show up as a popup like the s700i?

http://www.expansys.com.hk are pre-ordering it for HK$5,949.95!!!

That's over 400 UK Pounds. I'm not paying that much!!!

Hmmm... Thanks - I didn't spot that! I believe that the Asian version is for HK/China (supports Chinese characters and comes installed with Chinese themed wallpaper etc).

HK4100 is more reasonable.

By the way, is anyone going to be getting accessories, apart from Mem Stick Duos?

Any opinions on the desk stands (Desk Stand CDS-60, in this case)?

According to the price list we have on the net I'll be selling it for £353/€519 (£205/€302 on 12 moths contract). I'm with IDGSM and NetCom.
We expect a small batch in before the weekend.

IMHO, i dunno what these guys are gettin at!
this phone cannot cost 475 GBP, im sure it will rather cost around 475 $$$

i dont think this phone will cost more than around 300GBP

i suggest yall goto a shop, see the phone and buy it over the counter rather than online, visit many shops and get ur best price. thats what im gonna do.
