Jojo, axxxr, davidsic and amawanga,
Finally Phone Cameras from Europe have shown us that top quality images may be obtained....just as good as those produced by digital still cameras.
There is a great advantage in the new generation of Phone Cameras, high quality DVD video may also be registered.
I worked for KYOCERA/Yashica in Săo Paulo from 1984 to 1991, I had to field-test Zeiss lenses in Brazil. The quality is outstanding. Today NOKIA is also using Zeiss Tessar lenses.....to great advantage.
Davidsic and Amawanga have shown us what the good reliable Tessar lens can do.
I started a thread in an Asian Forum, "My Camera Phone is my Imaging Tool". Within 5 (five) weeks, it received 2,000 hits! If you are interested you may join this thread and submit your photos online to my thread, you may check:

Do you want to see a few of my photos, taken with my modest Nokia6265?
Here they are:

If you like the sample, digit these numbers instead of "106863".....I can show you another 7 (seven) Phone Camera images:
169930, 206473, 206555, 264162, 288612, 288789 and 324489

Jojo,
Thanks for your comments....it was you who encouraged and helped me promote the images which were taken by my Nokia6265 phone camera.
Now we can examine some better results (by Nokia phone cameras) which were uploaded in your thread on "other manufacturers".
Phone Camera fotos posted online will show millions of people throughout the world that a phone cameras in use, may one day surpass the number of digital still cameras in use. When will this occur?
I posted a note on Samsung's high-tech camera (multi-MP) three years ago. Their 10MP camera has an Asahi Takumar optical zoom lens if I am not mistaken. I would like to see the results....online....like the Nokia photos displayed on this thread recently.

@vga - Yup, Sir . . . I agree ! We just have to keep this THREAD rollin' as to SEE what the future of camfones will bring us . . . I'm sure MUCH MUCH better ones will flood the market. Perhaps by the time when we are witnessing camfones with 6-7 MegaPixels on them, some will attest here that those will really be comparable with that of standard- digicams by that time

@ Jojo and VGA,
Yes, the advances in camera technology is indeed evident, but we know that a lot of other factors determine a good pic too, like composition, the type and amount of light source, etc. etc.
Sometimes it's very much a case of press n' pray with cellphone pics.
I look forward to this weekend, when the London Motorcycle Show finally gets underway...hopefully I can get a few decent pics with the N73.
Taken today with the N73, in a less than ideal setting:
A screech owl (appropriate name...), also known as a barn owl.

7390 doesn't have a carl zeiss optic, it's an error of some nokia sites. But it made nice shot in good light condition (lot of noise and night mode doesn't work very well in poor light)

Davidsic,
Congratulations, I can smell and taste your 'expresso' ! High resolution, perfect colour scale!
Perhaps your 7390 doesn't have a Carl Zeiss lens. Sometimes lens manufacturers &/or Camera Phone (Nokia) do or do not claim that their models have Zeiss lenses.
It is a 'marketing product field test'.....a good &/or very good lens is attached to a product, the results tested by tens of thousands of users are analysed.....later the product's commercial name is made public.
As a photo-lab quality control professional, I am almost sure that the lens which is attached in your Nokia 7390 is a Carl Zeiss lens. Why not ask Nokia to give further details, after they examine the high quality of your images?
BTW, my Nokia 6265 is very modest compared to yours, but I have been able to take some good photos with my Nokia which was produced in Manaus, Brazil.

We're finally off to The London Motorcycle Show tomorrow, so will be uploading loads of pics on Sunday.
Took these 2 pics with the N73 of my new helmet (with the WW2 plane), as well as the rear design of Mrs Amawanqa's Arai:
Too bright a background, but so we learn...
Still have to remove the safety and info stickers.

@ Jojo, as in the previous post, that's Mrs Amawanqa's 'extra small' helmet; I wear a large.
Anyway, here's some of the pics:
Was fortunate to obtain these passes:
New Ducati 1098 in limited edition Italian 'tricolore' colour scheme:
A bit of a bugger to get a decent shot at the show; just look at all the spotlights along the ceiling and stands reflecting on the bikes! To compound things, this bike was on a rotating platform...:
Damn all those spotlights...anywayz, here's Ducati's road-legal GP-engined bike:
More Italian exotica, this time a MV Agusta...what a rear end:
Still more Italian bikes, this time the Benelli Tornado Tre 1130cc. The 2 fans under the tailpiece is to cool the Benelli's radiator, which is mounted under the subframe as opposed to under the front headstock like most others.
Close-up:
Unique lines of the Benelli TNT:
The praying mantis-like front end of a black Benelli TNT:
More pics to follow...

American Harley Davidson (a.k.a. Hardly Dangerous ) bling:
The front end of BMW's huge 1200GS Adventure:
How's this for a trailer:
Not sure what a big slot car layout was doing at a motorcycle show, but anyway...:
Triumph's enormous 2.3 litre Rocket III, with Campbell exhaust pipes:
Fancy some camouflage and other colour TYRES for off-road bikes?!:
At one of the airbrushing stands:
Right, this monstrosity was a show-stopper of sorts:
