^ This no leak policy is great for Sony springing surprises on us with products we know nothing or very little about its almost like a second Christmas but on the other hand no leaks can make forums dull and boring.
I'm so happy 'cause today I've found my friends ... They're in my head

If it's true, they're ODM devices (like MediaTek devices). Carry the Sony name but are made by a third-party company and only intended for a limited release.
(MediaTek devices have some of the Sony software but they're always ports made by external companies. There's very little Sony about those phones. Sony only develops for Qualcomm + Android.)

So, ASUS are launching the Zenphone 6, which has stylus functionality. You can write on it with any pen or pencil. In other words its like the Xperia Z ultra.
I wonder if any media outlet will notice this. Or will they believe that the Zenphone 6 was the first, and gloss over the Z Ultra like it never happened. |

to be honestly, the functions sounds great in reality I don't believe it works until we get a screen that is impossible to scratch. |

Sapphire!
I kid. Its unlikely any vendor (unless its a novelty edition) would use Sapphire sheets for the screen. It would be nice if they did, but its too damn expensive. |

Qualcomm have disappointed. A lot. 2 years of leading has inflated their ego so much they thought they'd slightly tweak the s800 slightly throughout the year and get all the design wins again.
Nvidia HAVE to capitalise on this. Which leaves manufacturers in an awkward position. And necessitates a refresh 2H.
What's the best possible chip an android tablet can come with in march/April? |

Why? Then, the manufactures will have the excuse to leave the older devices and therefore ending the software support, generating fragmentation (Still, We´ve to see how 4.4 and Project svelte prevent the fragmentation) .. Anyways the S800 and S805 are enough powerful for a high end mobile device |

They are enough for high-end devices? In my opinion, a dual-core krait with a good gpu and 2gb ram with around 300ppi is enough. But isn't it funny how Qualcomm, about 7 months into 2014 will have barely improved on the chip which powered devices almost year before that point? (I'm referring to the 805 of course). When's the earliest we'll see modified ARMv8 from Qualcomm? Next year? What will the devices released at IFA be powered by?
Any device at MWC will use a s800 unless it releases a few months after announcement. HTC might have the s805 thanks to Qualcomm owning shares in HTC.
Manufacturers almost never have the excuse to leave older devices. In most cases, they only do so because they want people to have to upgrade way before it is necessary, so they make more money. I think if they upgraded devices for 3 years, they'd have a lot more customers...
It's sad to see Google going in that direction too with their nexus program.
Here's hoping for a Nvidia 10" tablet with a good screen asap...

Im gonna get in early here and request that when the new mobile devices are announced today, new (dedicated) threads are created for them so that we dont fill the rumours thread with info on announced products.
edit: Never mind, I created a z1s/mini thread already:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=206500
Once announced, Ill post info there and request people carry on discussions of the device there. Pretty please If there are other mobile devices, I hope others follow suit!
