if it exists, they should just incorporate an adapter that converts...

Nothing wrong with mainstream in terms of connectivity if all OEM's could decide one format for everything to make everything compatible, it'd life for the consumer much easier. With all things eventually one format becomes the standard, if companies could just get there quicker...

Unfortunately, the new audio jack forbids us to use any real headphones or speakers with the phone ( like these - http://www.liga-zvuka.ru/show[....]a/philips_earphones/main_b.jpg , or these http://www.logitech.com/assets/15329/15329.png ) in favour of these iPhones shits, which I can hardly name headphones, with that shitty sound that comes from them, they don't even deserve attention ( http://www.sennheiserusa.com/[....]troImages/MM30i_IntroImage.png ). I'm glad I bought the Xperia Pro and didn't waited for the Xperia S for many reasons, but if I had bought it ( you know, in the future ), and it had rejected my Philips SHP8900, it would take a closer look at the bricks in my back yard, literally. With high speed.

Hardware! It's the connector itself that has changed. There might be some software processing involved maybe but I don't know that.
Standardizing is essential and makes it better for ALL, both suppliers, manufacturer and buyers.
Thanks, but i use always blue tooth stereo headset much better and free of cables than a 3.5 audio jack with cables |

Actually, even Sony has made much more CTIA headphones than OMTP, for example DR-EX300IP, while leaving all other users with the crappy DR-EX39PP. I have alwasy been wondering why they cannot make some decent headphones for SE.
You can always get yourself a pair of TF10vi if you want quality.

Sony: Android 'doesn't eliminate us from examining other opportunities'
-On integration, tablets, and the prospect of a PS Vita phone
-"What happens in the future, we don't know, but right now [Sony and Sony Mobile] are separate organizations."
-The Sony Ericsson "marble = " is going away ,it's just that there's some residual design and engineering left over
-Unified branding and fewer models: a common theme
-A Sony Nexus?
-Android and beyond
-"One Sony"

They should go for it in the later Q4 instead.

Noo, the is going away. I like it...
Then again, the silver coating has a tendency to get rubbed away, which doesn't look very nice.

I really hope that SE would release a smartphone similar to Xperia S but with the following: metallic body, white screen technology, much slimmer and shorter size (get rid of the chin please), 1.5 Ghz dual-core Qualcomm S4 Pro processor or higher clock, worldwide LTE and HSPA+, 13.1 megapixel camera and 1080p recording with HDR, high-brightness dual LED flash with STCF04 chip, 32gb iNand Extreme internal memory and microSDXC slot, 3300 mhz battery, etc. If Mint have these specs, I am sure going to get one. |
