Sorry I didn't read all the latest posts. Cause of the mac version. You dont have to defend your purchase. It just sounded so negative to me. Hihi I'm a fanboy now. About Media-go, I dont know, I have a mac so I drag 'n' drop .

It's a Love-Hate relationship that people have with SE phones.
SE makes primarily high-end phones but they skimp on details like Xenon flashes on most phones with cameras or REFUSES to put 3.5mm ports for their Walkman phones.
Normally, it wouldn't be so bad but remember that people are paying a PREMIUM price for SE phones! SE owners want to be listened to and products should be made on our feedback which could improve their products and the brand!
Sony Ericsson is a company that is Renowned for NOT listening to owners feedback and doing things their way and want people to buy their products regardless! How arrogant is that?! Typical Sony Ericsson!
Hence why SE phone owners DO have the right to gripe about their phones!
Anyway, please post your review of the Media Sync software!

Got the HK version of the W995.
It includes the basic accessories as described.
Free speakers seem to be for UK market only based on info found in HK stores!
No info available re: HPM-88 earphones for other markets!

AM I THE ONLY ONE IN THIS PLANET WHO HAS PROBLEMS WITH THE SLIDER???  I BOUGHT THIS PHONE 10 DAYS AGO FOR 500 EURO AND THAT'S WITHOUT THE SNAP ON SPEAKERS OR HPM-88 AND THE SLIDER WHEN OPEN TRAVELS FROM SIDE TO SIDE NOT MUCH BUT I CAN FEEL IT. I DON'T THINK I WOULD CARE THAT MUCH IF I HAVEN'T READ EVERYWHERE ON THE WEB THAT THE SLIDER IS PERFECT AND SOLID AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE! ONE DAY THE PROBLEM DISAPPEARED BUT IT APPEARED AGAIN. I AM AFRAID TO USE THE PHONE REGULARLY(FOR EXAMPLE TO INCREASE THE VOLUME CAUSE THAT BUTTONS ARE SO HARD TO PRESS AND YOU HAVE TO USE THE PHONE AS A GRIP) AS I HAVE THE FEELING THE PROBLEM WILL GET WORSE . Return the phone to the phone shop since it's so new! Either the phone store should offer a replacement or a repair! Period!
The slider should be fine and solid (knock on wood)!
Usually the sliders are terrible on the low- to mid-end phones but since this is considered the "flagship" SE phone for 2009, it should be rock solid and tight!
BTW... You're 16 yr old and could afford this phone?! .......

Considering about the camera quality i'm thinking to buy n86 bec of noise levels. How about the purple fringing and red to pink conversion problems? I feel n86 has good picture quality and video.please suggest me honestly. |

N86 is good cam actually very good but a bit heavier than w995 at 149g and s**k music playback.
W995 is great for music solution but less quality cam than N86.
Both this just 8mpx but doesn't match up for each other. It's good in their own way.

For above guys so much complains quite boring, Why don't you check it out before you pay it sth like snap on speaker and HPM-88 is special package for selected marketing campaign don't you know about that.

thanks for replying...I'll go to a shop on monday and check the slider of a new one and if there's a big difference I will ask for replacement..don't want to wait for weeks to get it fixed.
(I got fullmarks in my exams so my parents agreed to buy me one)
