yes that is wrong.
Look at Jehovas witnesses, they go round from door to door.

When i was travelling to Japan, there were a group of Jehovas walking around the street trying to convert.

I was annoyed because I hate people who actively convert.

I think it should be "spread the good side of religion and let people choose"

@jagger, sunnah is the original sect of Islam.
There are Sunnis and Shi ees, shi ees killed some religious leaders or something and then started to feel bad or something (like how those guys felt bad after killing Jesus or soemthing).
Sunnis and Shi ees are essentially the same but with slightly different believes.

I dont appreciate the sushi comment though.

thats not the worst part either, i few of my mates from uni (sikh and hindu Girls) were approched by these types of people who told them to go with them or some shit and when they told me they asked them all to convert i was shocked.

well then those people are acting as a cult.

It seems no matter what I say Jagger, you've got your mind set that you dont like Muslims.

I dont like some people but I try to get along with them.
I'm telling you that Islam is a positive religion. Go ahead and please read the book if you want to make sure yourself whether or not what these people tell you is right or wrong.

lol, dont get me wrong mate, i have nothing against normal muslims, a few of my good mates are muslims, its just i hear alot of stuff from people and i dont know what to think. Another story i have it from when i was in college, a muslim guy he was 21 and married and had a child with another woman, he used to beat her and stuff, then he started going out with some girl from my college, who was a hindu, he basically used her, she left her family for him, he made her convert and left her. It just makes u wonder why?

amnesia i mean you seem like a ok guy as you have your head screwed on tight and same goes for you peterkey, i have nothing against you guys or muslims.

yeah that guy was an asshole it seems.
It's just a coincidence that he happened to be a Muslim as well in my opinion.

You hear ALOT of these types of things, but you dont necessarily think of their religion now.
I mean if all Muslims did that I myself would be like "what the hell is going on?" but thats not the case.

Look at me, i sacraficed my friendships, relationship with family, and my future for my fiancé only for her to break up with me.... I dont blame it on the fact that she's Shinto.

homosexuality is not acceptable in Islam as it is not acceptable in Christianity. (thats not to say there aren't any Muslim homosexuals though)

As for me an my girlfriend, the engagement has ended but I'm unsure as to where we are at the moment

@vanquish, wasn't there a whole issue of how the Church of England blatantly said that being Gay was unacceptable?

jagger:

TILT.

Uh? the heck do you mean?

TBH reading the last few pages I think people are mistaking what individuals and groups do as the wider basis for what the entire religion does. This can be very mis informative about any religion.

Wether we like it or not there are groups out there that try to sell you on their religion. Granted some charge you for being in their religion. (Scientology from what I read)
