when was the last time a  had a good camera? ages ago. look at a cybershot for that - ie c905. surely you can see that the c905 and w995 are aimed at music and the other, CAMERA!
i think the price is reasonable here for what you get. good prices on ebay...
and the packaging. you have got to be kidding? since when does the box of phone deter you from liking the phone it self,  Rediculous!

* Cheap packaging? What phone are you using that uses more metal?! Hmm Hmmm - speak up now. Its built very solid from what I've read from MANY sources big or small. I've only read the Nokia E71 as well built as the W955. W995 is a slider and if its equal to/better than my N85 I'll be happy. IF it's slider is as good as the T303 then WOW.
* Camera? Have you seen the pics of W995 vs C905?! I see some shots on p65 of this thread being BETTER than C905. Xenon doesn't matter much to me without optical zoom or VGA @30/120fps for video recording yet either way Xenon flash uses a LOT of batter power.
Initially I wanted to buy the N86 and my N85 was a stop gate. Now I'll buy the W995a.

The w995 is overpriced, like it or not, spec wise perhaps not so much but when you look at the bigger picture, i would have got this but when i tried this in the shop i just got dejavu feeling, how is this really any different to my C902?? Hardly if any, obviousy a bigger screen but other than that, the camera 8mp but you cant tell the difference on screen and the flash (by what ive heard on reviews) is in-adequate and produces poor results, so much for taking pics in winter when you get 6hours daylight. The walkman player is the same as the W910!! Which is un-aceptable considering the W910 is classed as a low-end music phone (see CPW buyers guide), in all this time i would have expected changes considering se used to release a new walkman player each year (V1,V2,V3.......). The W980 retails now at £99.99, so in perspective you are paying an extra £270 for a digital camera  . Which is crazy, and considering the competiton the W995 doesnt have any edge to allow a high price, sorry but its true, hopefully se aino will change this . |

Is there any information about which regions are getting the HPM-88 headphones and which are getting the HPM-77.
Also besides the noise canceling any differences between these models? |

Not a very flattering conclusion at the end of the review.
Also, Eldar seems to believe that W995 records videos in 640x480 @ 30fps instead of 320x240 which it takes in reality.

I wonder what his conclusion will be once he realizes that it still has "good old" QVGA video.
I don't really mind the video recording (it probably has to do with not very powerful CPU's SE keeps putting in their feature phones), but it's a little bit disappointing to see that Omnia HD easily takes better photos than W995. I think that SE should start putting Samsung image sensors in all their phones like they did with the C901 for example.

ok got it 4h ago,first impretion is the size ...looks small and nice, build well,the size of my W800i but thinner an briter one cm smaller then my P1i .feels very well in de hand but i am sure i will drop it cos it is so small.
Buttoms all work well ,the slider has good feeling of quality the screen looks very good
listend to some music and even that i adjusted the equaliser same way like in my old W800i i was disapointed from the strenght of the volume my old W800i has about 30% more volume and even my P1i has better/stronger bass but the sound quality is good...the earphones are the HPM-77 and not the 88... the speaker set that i got with it is nice but not real quality sound ...must learn it more ,maybe i will find some volume somwhere ... here few pictures

So how is the free movies on this phone, on the TV and ads i see they all talk about the 60free movies, has anyone had a chance to use this ??

The aino is expected to cost £400 sim free, so only £25 difference, bet u all wish you went for the aino
