I'm using Microsoft Office 2008 in Leopard and in coverflow view i can't see a preview of my documents is this because it is fairly new? I just get a standard docx icon.

Leopard sees the extension docx similar to an exe so you wont be able to see it, if you save your documents in 08 as doc you should be fine.

in relation to your eboot question this should help you, you running intel so you might need to boot into windows.

Do I assume mac have got me between a rock and a hard place?

I want to remove Vista from my HDD therefore leaving me one big HDD.. yet the beta bootcamp has expired.. only bootcamp aviable now is on leopard..

Do I really have to buy Leopard just to get bootcamp??

To use a .Mac username in iChat you don't necessarily have to pay.

Just sign up for a trial .Mac account for free, then cancel at the end of the trial. The .Mac username is still yours to use for free in iChat - no subscription required.

@fatreg

Has the Bootcamp beta actually expired i.e. it won't let you run it? I presume its the Bootcamp Assistant if anything?

I knew they'd removed the downloads of it, but I thought I'd read that you could still use it if you'd previously installed it

Don't worry jools all sorted now.

Just had to lose everything on my ext hdd... :/

Just downloading backup3 so hopefully it won't lose everything again!

but yeah the boot camp assistant has expired!
