I must say that i am very very very jaleous!! That must have been quite an adventure  The thing is that i like the M600 more. If i was in your place and he would have a M600 i would think of stealing it

Hi all.. I am currently a K750i user and i AM Planning yet again. to make a switch to another model! W990i to be exact!
There are 3 issues i hope u guys/gals can help me with...
1) Does anyone know whether the phone comes with a Docking station just like P910i.
2)I have a flash attachment for my K70i (Flash MXE-60) will this be able to work for the P990i?
3) If i were to remove the keypad from the P990i, how do u actually make the bottom part look flat?? Please see picture for reference.
and oh yeah... just one last thing.... may i please know where i could get softwares for symbian phones please.. Any help from anyone would be great .. thks |

Keep Dreaming for a W990i; we'll be lucky our initial dreams of 850Mhz & a BLACK P990i even with WCDMA 1900Mhz for South/North America to be spawned. That said, most likely a docking station will be shipping with the phone, if not then the SE that works with your k750i should be ok. To make the bottom part of the phone look flat is a flat cover for the keypad chip-connector for protection & style. It comes with the tool to remove the flip-pad & the flat cover replacement. Be careful for just asking for SYmbian software. Symbian is the core OS (think of Windows 2000 core code for a computer; Windows 2000 was great code but had its affairs with hackers & such. Windows XP is the same code but is a different GUI alltogether), while the P990 user interface is UIQ3; Nokia has different incomatible version that is called S60/Series60.

Im just curious... Can S60 softwares be used on a P910 or P990i for that matter? |

i've just been thinking, if the p990 came in black, but not a tacky finish, maybe bits of silver too, like the k750, then i;d actually very much consider buying the p990... what do you lot think? is hard to describe how i mean, but thinking about i can see it looking great. sorry, i have a black electronics/cars and girls underwear thing  (girls not me wearing of course  )

You could simply buy the P990i, and then mod it to your own tastes. Lots of people on Esato have done so in the past with previous SE phones, its just a matter of stripping the phone down to its case, spraying it your desired colour and then putting it back together.
Right now though, im going off the P990i somewhat in favour of the N80. The lure of a cheap contract handset price for the 3mp handset with 802.11g, and the fact its due next month are swaying me. If the P990i slides any further, i dont think i'll bother with it, and will end up buying a W950i instead.

You & me both etaab! I'm seriously surprised that you even would consider a Nokia; but I've probably mistaken a sense of patronage from someone else.
The N80 will be a sufficient phone. I just think that the media player will be lacking; and until the 3rd party apps come along we'll both be crying foul.
The P990i > I still love its looks, functionality over the N80 and for true email & instant messaging I'm gonna seriously miss a built in keyboard. I'm also gonna be needing BB Connect with FULL BES support shortly. But until then the N80 will suffice for quite a while.
SonyEricsson > enough with the delays RELEASE the P990 ALREADY! Stop dinking us around; just be good with the firmware updates! & QUICKLY update it with HSDPA/ 1900/850Mhz UMTS for the America's & EDGE!!! Put a new 3.2MP camera in a BLACK finish!

hi all... Im curious... Has the SE smart phones been able to support real media files? like for example *.rm etc...
Does it support anyother video formats other than 3gpp and mp4? |
