@mario2004:Like everyone else I enjoyed the rugby...had to endure Craig Marais for the full 80 minutes but it was actually better than the hatchet job he did on the cricket commentary back in the summer.
@da wanqsta: Almost simultaneous releases by the Korean manufacturers have given them a competitive advantage over  in the lower segment of the SA cellphone market...I don't have figures but I'm sure the Samsung E250 is probably somewhere near the top of the sales charts. Whereas I've not seen anyone using a K320 which was released some time back in Europe.
@GUCCI: Nice to see you around here again...was thinking that you've disassociated yourself from the poor peasants.

The last time we followed that road round Signal Hill was 5 years ago, when the mrs was showing me around her native CT.
I showed her the pic and she's all sentimental now..

Yo.My eyes are now sore.Today has been the longest l've stayed in front of a TV.Been watchin Season 1 of Prison Break since 10 am until now(00:00).Can you believe it.No breaks in between.Been glued to the screen all the time,and I still need to catch up on the remaining episodes.Greetings from NST & good nite fellaz.

I think you need to contact the Guinnies(sp) Book of Records.
Watched a couple of episodes of the first season of Prison Break a couple of months ago and TBH I was not too impressed. I'd rather watch a show like Lost or the Sopranos.

Cape Town cleared up nicely.Everything looks nice and clean after the heavy rain.Spare a thought for the community of Retreat.A church they had built or were in the process of buiding and was near complesion,got ripped to pieces by what witness's say looked like a mini tornado.Sad hey.Took them almost 10 years to raise those funds.Hope people rally together and donate some money. |

Brilliant pic there Brix, makes me long for CT myself. Ought to be heading thataway within the next month or so.
It seems as if winter's here with a vengeance, been bucketing down here with some of the lowest temperatures in a good while. Watched Blood Diamond again yesterday when some friends came over (courageous souls to brave the weather  ) and i must say, it's hard-hitting, truly made me realize how unfortunate some of my fellow Africans are.
I'm not superstitious, merely mildly stitious. |

Yeah, I'd rather watch PB any day than get lost in Lost. I stopped trying to follow the latter when there was that dof 'living' black smoke that eminated with moans and weird noises out of the island's jungle. Throwing crap like that in just weakens it completely for me.
Sad news this morning that one of the most famous UK maritime exhibits, the big Cutty Sark merchant clipper sailing ship, was virtually destroyed by fire earlier this morning.
It's permanantly moored in a dry dock of sorts in Greenwich in south-east London and was undergoing extensive restoration. Traffic around there this morning is chaotic, to say the least.

Congrats to the bulls (id rather support the half dead blind rats than the bulls) but they played the game and won.
Anyway, i watched casino royal this weekend, and WOW its amazing how many different sony mobile phones they used in there, the silver k800 and white m600 was featured most, quite impressive. Another couple of sony`s i could not identify.

In preparation for Dubya's trip to The Land of the Convicts..., taken from The Daily Telegraph:
'A helicopter equipped with signal-jamming equipment will shadow Mr Bush's presidential motorcade whenever he travels on the city's streets.
It is expected the mobile phone network will be neutralised for about two minutes.
Many of the remote-controlled bombs detonated in Iraq and those used in the second Bali bombing were set off by mobile phones.
Similar airborne and vehicle jammers are used by coalition forces to counter the bomb attacks in Iraq.
The American jamming technology first appeared with Mr Bush during an APEC summit in Pusan, South Korea, in 2005.
According to news reporters covering the summit, a Black Hawk helicopter would shadow the presidential motorcade and as it passed overhead all mobile phone signals would simply drop out.
Whenever Mr Bush visits a foreign country local sovereignty is surrendered to US authorities as he moves around in heavily armoured vehicles that follow him around the globe.
When Mr Bush visited Canberra in October 2003 for a lightning 20-hour stopover, his security coverage included round-the-clock patrols by RAAF F/A-18 fighters above the city.
A police spokesman was unable to confirm whether or not mobile phones would be affected in Sydney when the 21 APEC leaders – including Russian leader Vladimir Putin and China's Hu Jintao – visit from Friday, September 7 until Sunday, September 9. The spokesman did, however, question the quality of South Korea's mobile phone system compared with Sydney's.
The spokesman said there would be "intermittent" road closures (more than 300 secure traffic movements) and exclusion zones around key venues and the airport during APEC week from September 2 to 9. More than 3500 police will be on duty.
How jamming works
A HIGH radiation signal scrambles mobile transmissions in an area the size of a football field.
Some jamming devices send a signal on the same frequency, making incoming and outgoing calls impossible.
